Have you tried requesting for a copy of the phone calls?
This may help your case.;)The one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -

Contact/email the Manager Director/Chief Executive officer (CEO)
That's a very long time to wait, he should get his team to deal with this matter sooner for you, tell them your not happy with the way its being dealt with, considering there is no appeal as confirmed a few weeks ago.
Good luck.

Hiya and thank you.;)
CEO details below, email him and he will make sure its dealt with by the Manager of the Customer Care team. If you have copies of the Royal mail tracking number then forward that on to them as well as your proof for posting.
Copy the email you send to the CEO to the Customer Care Team as well, good luck, hope you receive feedback once they are back after the Bank Holiday.

I would email the CEO copy it to the Customer Team, and tell them you sent your PPI complaint on xx/xx/xxxx which you aware it was received on date xx/xx/xxxx, give your tracking number shown on your Royal Mail receipt, and go on to tell him you were informed by the Customer Care (this is where your letter would have been sent to) they've not received your this and you will be grateful for confirmation by email that it have been received. The one and only "Dizzy Di"0
