Hi
I applied for my PPI insurace back from a bank and got no where so i then started a claim through the FOS, my application was March 2008. Does anyone have any idea how long it might take? they seem to have all the paperwork but i still haven't been passed on to an adjudicator, i understand they are busy but i keep getting told different time scales when i call. In November it was within the month, then 2 then 3 months until my case will be allocated.
Any advise/recent sucesses would be really appreciated.
Thanks:money:
Hi there
Unfortunately the volumes of these actual complaints have risen again this year, but if your struggling (I understand this is the case for most people in this day and age), but for instance if you have mortgage arrears, or financially stuggling let them know, they may ask for you to provide some form of proof, yet every accessor works differenty into looking into moving these complaints on to fast tracking.
Yet they vary, some are within a few months, weeks, my very first complaint had taken approx 14 months as from beg to being paid out.
Hope you hear soon and good luck.;)The one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -
Hi there
If you have statements this should show the insurance PPI cover on them, or the agreement.
If you no longer have the agreement, if this was taken out over the last 6 years, write to them to request a copy of this agreement, and enclose a £1 postal order or cheque payment to cover this, they should supply this to you within 12 days of request, good luck.;)
Thanks for the quick reply0 -

Just a quick update. I phoned the FOS yesterday and today and left messages on the answerphone of the person whose been dealing with my case and am still awaiting a call back!! I've also emailed him again tonight. I'm starting to get annoyed now, more because of the lack of communication than anything else.
I've gone through the letters sent to me by the FOS and found one dated way back in July last year to Loans.co.uk stating that the FOS found in my favour. Loans.co.uk obviously disagreed with this and the adjudicator requested a copy of our telephone conversation, which is why its currently in the hands of the ombudsman awaiting their final decision!!
So still no further with this! I know they're busy but even a quick email just saying they've got my messages and will be in touch would at least make me feel as though they're doing something!!! Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!
Baby's doing really well this week, putting on weight, starting to fill out and look healthy. Little angel! :A0 -
I have posted on the success thread as well:::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::
Success at last :T :T
Just received an email from the Adjudicator, Lloyds TSB agreed with the Adjudicators view and is refunding all PPI, plus interest and Charges etc, as if PPI were not taken out.....yippeeeee, so no waiting for the ombudsman now :T .
Thanks to all who helped me, Marshallka, Max, Pinknico, Dreamer and everyone else who got me through all this.
I will post the figures when I have them, so I know for definate the amounts.:D

Hi There,
I am new to these forums, but wondered if anyone else was claiming back PPI from the MBNA? The Financial Ombudsman said that they were due a meeting with them, and until the meeting they still couldn't say what the outcome would be. Any news anyone? It has now been a year!!0 -

Hi there and welcome.
Have you had the chance to check on the success thread which is next to this one?
I am sure there have been success with these.;)
I hope you hear very soon, good luck and there is no harm in sending the FOS an email now and again, or even ring them, where I expect you have already been doing this.
Please keep us posted, fingers crossed to you. XThe one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -
