The_Marksman wrote: »Visted my branch of Lloyds tsb yesterday as i couldnt get any information on my loan accounts via the telephone banking service, Lloyds insurance helpline and even the dedicated ppi claim line. Each time i was told that they couldnt find any loan details or they were too old to be on their system, which only goes back to 2000. ( I was trying to obtain account numbers etc).
Anyways, long story short after 2 hours of going round in circles in the branch and Lloyds telling me nothing was on there system and the lloyds rep playing at not knowing what ppi even was! (no joke). I demanded to see the branch manger, 30sec's flat the rep printed out all the information on my 6 loan accounts!
may be alot of hot air above but if your in the same situation, may help you out:rotfl:
1. quick question, i had 6 loans all with ppi starting from 1994 til 2003 being the last ones start date. would you do one questionnaire for each loan or one questionnaire for all 6?
Many thanks:D
LOL, well done!:T don't ask then don't get:D:rotfl::rotfl:, good for you!:beer:
Right depending if you were mis sold for all the same reasons or not, so basically if mis sold for all the same reasons, it should be ok to do just the one, and of course make sure you enclose the 6 of the account numbers they apply to.
However, some may suggest to do them separately, so you do what you feel is right for you, all mine were dealt with separately.
Last year I done 4 lloyds loan ppi (which was successful, but dealt with them separately), and I have 2 ongoing with them now - which were done separately.;) xThe one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -
Thanks Di:D
your a star, i think i'll take your advice and my time and do them all separate as details and reasons differ very slightly on each.
Thanks for all your help & advice:D:D:p Perfer et obdurai dolor hic tibi proderit olim

Hi, I had unwittingly signed up for card care protection with a Halifax credit card in 2004. I stopped using the card in 2006 but didn't realize about the yearly sum for the card care plan. Could someone please tell me whether this is the same as PPI and whether the same rules for reclaiming apply? Many thanks in advance.0

Hi and welcome
If you do not have the policy details on the Care plan they should send them free on request. This should explains what the policy entails.
PPI is sometimes known as ppp and so on, but its worth checking it out or even doing a google search perhaps.
However, PPI is normally to protect for example, sickness, unemployment, and so on. This is or should be optional, and even though to have protection is essential - you do not have to take it out directly with the lender of the account, which can work out more expensive than that of a stand alone protection.
For more details on reclaiming, if this applies to you, step 3 below takes you to a reclaim questionnaire, complete and send to head office or complaints dept of whoever set up and sold you the account, save copies and keep copies of what you receive as well, in case you need to refer to this again at some point.

Also as shown on Halifax site here.

Meanwhile I will see what I can find, or maybe someone on here will know more of this care plan, in case it is different to that of ppi etc and post up soon, good luck.;)
Allow 8 weeks for a decision.
Edited to post some details just found, it may be of some help.

It may still be reclaimable, if you did not require this or if it was automatically added to your CC etc, or for whatever reason you may have. That is my opinion anyway. The one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -

:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: Go for it, you have nothing to lose and everything to gain.
Put those digits to use and get another claim in.
