    Hi there

I am not sure if Natwest have pulled out yet, but the BBA have until next Tuesday 10 May to decide on a appeal, maybe you could see what happens from there, and if the appeal goes ahead then you could make your decision on moving on to the FOS.

It would be great now if the remaining banks do the same as Lloyds over the next few days, fingers crossed.

In 2009 I contacted Lloyds, informing them I was due to be made redundant. I gave them 3 months notice of this. So, when I found myself out of work, I contacted their "PPI" dept, who kindly informed me that because I hadn't signed on, I wasn't entitled to PPI. Unfortunately, when I sat down in one of their "Personal account review" meetings, and a member of their staff filled in all the forms for the credit card some 5 years previous.....they neglected to inform me I needed to sign on to be entitled to claim PPI. I tried to make a claim last year using MSE's guidlines but Lloyds have said there is "Insignificant evidence".

At the time, I was a lighting engineer on shows, concerts and conferences, which doesn't fall under, shop staff, office staff, or factory workers, that the job centres cater for. So I opted to live off my redundancy payment, whilst looking for work. Knowing that the Job Centre would not be able to find work in my past Field of employment.

So a cold hearted "Thanks" to Lloyds and their staff for all you "Haven't" done for me in my 20yrs banking with their outfit!

    Hi there & welcome

It may be a case of them opening cases now anyway, but I would write to them and ask them for a refund, tell them the policy was worthless to you, a waste of money, and you were deprived of your money.

Even if you tried before, and they rejected your complaint, did they not write and give you details of the Financial ombudsman service (FOS)? I would otherwise keep everything in writing and not deal with this directly in the branch or on the phone.

There are details of how to reclaim on this site, and they are the same directly on Lloyds Website, you complete a reclaim questionnaire, the address details are also enclosed on the website, and remember to keep copies as well, good luck.

    :A

I'll give it a try, but I doubt I will get a positive out come. I did write to the Ombudsman a few months back, and they simply repeated what Lloyds have said.
    Have a lovely weekend.

Hopefully you will get more luck this time round, make them aware that you know about the Judicial Review, and that cases are to be reopened, and you strongly believe your entitled to a refund due to your reasons, give them as much information as possible, and tell them they had to duty to discuss the ppi when this was sold to you in order for you be have been given an option. Tell them if this was explained when you were asked to sign up for it that you would have then known the procedures of making a reclaim whilst unemployed, and despite that you still wasted money on the policy because it was not used when you tried making a claim which was rejected.

Good luck and you too have a good weekend.:A;)

The form looks identical to the one I sent them last time. But I'll give it another go. Its not like I'm using "Joined up writing" so they shouldn't struggle.
It may even stop the unwanted, and unhelpful calls from the Indian call centre......I'll miss those guys!

    Thank you again. :T
