Hi just need some more advice. The background is that I beleive I was missold as I never knew I had PPI. I sent a letter asking A & L (MBNA) to consider this and also by email (4th Oct). I received a letter back very shortly after sending the first one asking me to complete the FOS questionnaire which I did and sent back by return (recorded). I then received a secure email from the Bank of America telling me they needed more time to investigate my complaint and would reply to me by the 25th Nov. I received a reply from them yesterday by post saying that as there is a court case pending they will be putting my case on hold until the outcome of the court case is known!!! I'm not sure what I should do now but I thought that they couldn't do that. Should I go to the FOS with my complaint now? I know that this is just delay tactics as they waited until the very last day before replying to me about their decision. Also I cancelled my PPI policy tonight as I feel it's a lot to be paying on top of my bill every month(£30) and especially if their putting it on hold now.
Sorry for the length and any help would about my next steps would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Karen
Its so annoying to be told that only now isn't it?
Well you can of course make your complaint to the FOS now if you've had confirmation of this, or you can wait to see what happens, either way now its up to you.
And wishing you luck with this.;)The one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -
Hello all, I am reading alot on here at the mo that the banks are now putting all the pending casses on hold... I have 2 in with Lloyds at the mo and wondered if any of you know the official stance?? I am getting the horrible vibe that this whole thing is gonna go down the same route as the bank charges reclaim saga, which I lost out on before!!! Help.....0

They agreed one but said they had "overlooked the other one" Have been e mailing and phoning them and at last the one they had agreed on was paid into my account this week:beer: however the second one which they overlooked (it was on the same paperwork so how that happened I dont know) is apparently being investigated but they could give me no timescale as to when I would hear. Seems out of order when it was their mistake but thats Lloyds for you. If you have passed the 8 weeks I would go to the ombudsman but try calling Lloyds and find out whats going on with your claims. Best of luck:)
Well done and Congratulations on your one reclaim win  and sorry to hear they messed you about with the other, good luck with this though, i'm sure you will still be successful whoever deals with this in the end, and imagine the interest you will be getting back as well, it soon adds up.:);)The one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -

Well done on your win:jI sent 2 sets of forms in 28th September and they are asking for more time on both of them. Like you they cannot tell me how long this might take. Very frustrating, but you are fortunate that they have at least looked at one of yours!0 -

Thanks for this Di. I am just off the phone to FOS and they are taking on my complaint. So it's just a case of waiting for the paperwork from them signing it and sending all other relevant documents on to them. The lady I spoke to was very helpful and I have a complaint reference number.0 -
Hi everyone
I engaged Combined Solutions to make a reclaim on my behalf from Paragon Personal Finance which then became a reclaim to Creditflex as apparently Loanmakers were the broker on the loan and they have recently been taken over by Creditflex.
I submitted my paperwork to CS on July 20th and I have yet to have the claim settled. Several phone calls to CS have not given me any helpful information. I am told that the claim is with Creditflex and they keep asking for more time to review the claim. I have spoken with FOS and they have informed me that a lender has eight weeks to make a decision on the claim. I have never been asked by CS to give any further information. I now find that CS do not appear to be answering their phone nor have they responded to my recent emails or voice mails. I wrote to CS yesterday voicing my concerns and expressing my disappointment at their handling of my claim.
Has anyone else had a similar experience and if so what did you do to resolve the matter?
I hope someone can help me.
