As expected 8 weeks is now up since I sent my original claim questionaires into Lloyds tsb and surprise surprise I recieved a letter saying they were looking into it but thats all i've had!!! Could anyone advise me of the best steps to take now with the Financial Obudsman??? hall I use the template letter on here??

    Hi Lee

Email them and ask them for a date/timescale of when you should hear of a decision, tell them you need to know these details.
    customer.care.insurance@lloydstsb.co.uk

Make them aware that the 8 weeks are almost up and you understand if you don't hear of a decision by then, your entitled to make the complaint to the FOS.

    Good luck.

Lee forgot to mention this in my above post.

The complaint you complete is actually on the FOS website, for as soon as you know what is happening via Lloyds, I suggest though to give it a little longer that 8 weeks due to backlogs as well, then make the complaint to the FOS if you hear absolutely nothing, or your not given a favourable decision in your favour, good luck.

Oh yes, do not get the fos complaints form confused with the ppi questionnaire from the fos website.:D;)

Or you an ring them to send you one if you want to. x

Hi - Hope everyone is doing ok.

Quick question if I may - If I send an SAR to Halifax re my account there are they obliged to send me info on my accounts with all other HBOS group companies ,ie Bank of Scotland & TSB under the same SAR request?

I hope so cos it will save me £20 :) - just wondered if anyone has tried it.

    Thanks in advance.

    Hello all,

I have recieved a response via email and letter today from Lloyds tsb informing me that they appologies for the delay with my complaint and that they are not in a position to provide a final response, and that they will consider my complaint as soon as possible. I am now going to the FOS!!!

Hi,sounds to me that they are asking for more time considering your complaint, the thing is that it might still go in your favour and the FOS usually ask for you to wait untill you have had a final response letter.Hang in there!
