Hi there, do this your self, you will get all the help you need on this site for free. If your son wins a mis sell then the refund may go to reduce his debt, so you would be wise not to use a company, as you say he could end up owing the company!.
look here for reasons for mis sell.

If any apply to your son, either, do the online form on this site (all is explained in the link i gave) or write a letter yourself saying you were mis sold this ppi because.. and give the reasons. If you need anymore help just shout.
  • Morning Di,
I wonder if you could give me some advice on 2 loans i had out with Barclays Bank in 1998 and 1999 respectively (both fully paid up early)
Firstly i new i had taken out these loans but have not keep the paperwork so i completed a SAR and recieved 2 statements from both loans with the A/C numbers but no mention of PPI on either. i then requested the paperwork from them and recieved the standard response that they do not hold any paperwork that is older than 6 years. Now my question is can i still put a claim in for mis sold PPI on these as i did not need it as my employers benefits would have more than covered the repayments (full sick pay and PHI if unable to return to work)

    thanks
    Harry
  • Thank you and yes it's still running and being paid for! Just find it crazy that they have the account details for the payments but no copy of either ! will get onto the Obudsman next.

    Hi Harry

Meanings they didn't send anything in relation of the PPI, I would now then perhaps take the chance, see what they come back with then.;)
So with the reasons you have, go for it.
Good luck and please keep us posted.

I did read that someone else on here recently had done the same thing and they did not have any paperwork and were successful, so fingers crossed.:)
The one and only "Dizzy Di" :D
