  • Hi
Just another episode of the saga that is my ppi claim lol
I put in a claim for 2 loans on 28th sept. One was agreed and I sent back the acceptance form on 11th oct. No news....so I rang about the other loan (both were on the same consumer questionaire that I sent to LLoyds) Was told 2nd one had been overlooked. Told them I didnt understand this as they were written side by side on form. They said sorry but now would have to wait to see what happens about judicial review although they would process it as far as they could. After waiting 28 days for the 1st loan ppi to be paid into my account I emailed them and sent a copy to Eric Daniels. This obviously did something because yesterday I recieved a letter saying they were investigating the second loan claim and "would handle it in accordance with fsa rules as quickly as possible." They went on to say that "if their assessment of my claim was impacted by the judicial review they would process it as far as possible and keep it on file and inform me of any developements." I rang and first spoke to just someone who answered the phones. She was completely wrong about what my claim was but I did then manage to speak to Val Taylor who was named in my letter as the person to speak to about any queries. I got the same speil about proccessing complain as far as possible yada yada yada. At which point I said LLoyds view of what was happening and the fsa and fos were somewhat different. She has now said that the first claim was being calculated this week and I will be recieving a letter with the figures for my payout shortly. I will believe it when I see it! Anyways, just wondered if anyone was being told the same story and if they had recieved their money. Its so frustrating but Im just going to keep bugging them.
  • Hi,
Could anyone advise me what to do now? I wrote to the Natwest for a copy of the PPI and Loan agreement that I took out in 2007, as I have just found out that 3 years on I had PPI so I am going to claim it back But...... They have written back saying they can't find my Loan or PPI paper work! Emmm so what proof have they got that I have a loan ? Has taken 7 weeks and 3 days for them to reply!

Hi there, is this loan still running? if so all you need is the account number to make a claim for mis sell. If it is not running, do you have internet banking? as if you paid by dd your number should be there.

I'm not sure how this works but will have a look thru as many threads as possible later, what I need to know is whether you guys think there's any point me claiming. I took out a loan with Northern Rock in Dec 2000, I went into a DMP in August 2002. I was paying a reduced amount regularly until I was made redundant in 2008, when I stopped payments. I have recently sent NR a CCA request which came back today, all correct, and including details of PPI which I hadn't known was included. I have heard about claiming this back and if I was successful would clear almost half the remaining balance. Do I have grounds to claim in your opinions? I'm not sure if the DMP would make a difference, or the timescale?

    Thanks for any advice :D

Hi there, when you were made redundant did you try to claim on the ppi?. People on here have won from the 90s so if you have reasons for mis sell, look here
    http://www.moneysavingexpert.com/reclaim/ppi-loan-insurance#checklist
If any of these reasons apply to you then put a claim in.The fact you were on a dmp doesnt matter, also the time scale. If you win then they will take it off the balance. Hope this helps.

I never claimed on the PPI as I didn't know I had it until today when the CCA paperwork arrived. It must have been on the paperwork they sent me back then (2000) but call me stupid, naive, whatever, I probably assumed it was part of the loan and didn't realise. I certainly don't remember being told about it at the time I took it out, which was over the phone.

anyone claimed from aa loans? has been five weeks and out of the blue they have just sent me a statement of account and stated t and c to follow shortly, havent requested them so whats this about anyone any ideas?

    Hi there

So I take it you have made a reclaim and they have automatically sent you the details of the documentation?
Sometimes this is procedure for them to do this.
If you have started a reclaim, then good luck on this, please keep us posted.

I'm sure there have been some reclaims against these, and hopefully the ones who have dealt with them will post up of their own experience.;)

    Hiya

Sorry to hear of all the messing about your going through, you could contact the FOS on this if you want to or if you want to wait, but as its cases before all this JR issues came about, they should continue to investigate.
Yes keep at them and fingers crossed.:)

    Hi and welcome

As amersall says, you can still continue to make a reclaim without any of the paperwork, but it helps to have hold of the account number it relates to, in order for them to find the details.

Also as amersall says, if you bank online and you were paying the loan repayments out of the same bank you with now, then this should allow you to check the account number next to the monthly repayments.

The only other way is "if you do want your paperwork" is to request a Subject access request (SAR) they must provide by the data protection act (DPA) all they hold on the account going back to the last 6 years.
There is a sar template for this request, they have 40 calendar days to comply, but you enclose £10 cheque or postal order within this letter.
This is something they MUST follow anyway, so with no account number (if you cannot find this on online banking), give them as many details as possible, full name, any addresses you lived in while under that account, your date of birth and so on.
    SAR template letter here:

Hope this helps, ask for help if required further, good luck.

Go for it, one of your reasons is "had i been aware i had this ppi, i would have claimed on it when i was made redundant".Good luck and keep us posted x.
