Hi, I waswondering if anyone could help.
When took out my Loan in 1996, I was employed and it has the company that I worked for on my application forms. A year later I became self-employed.
Due to me being employed at the time of taking out the loan, does this mean I would be nable to claim back any PPI?
Any help would be greatly appreciated!!0 -

Evening all,
Not PPI connected, but a bit of good news. I have been condemning Natwest for 3 months on this site for treatment as a customer. Three complaints against them, two for mis-sold PPI. One is with FOS and waiting for verdict on the other. However, my third complaint was for Natwest upgrading my bank account without telling me in January 2007. I only found out about upgrade in May 2010. So I sent a letter stating I was not happy and that I recieved no letter from them (was it sent recorded delivery and so on), I'm not an internet customer and my card did not change, and I have not used any of the perks of the account. Natwest have upheld my complaint and put £540 back in my account. Wondering if this may interest other Natwest customers who have experienced a similar issue. Again, apologies not PPI relating, but I thought still interesting.0 -

Hi, My daughter has recently asked her bank HSBC for an early settlement figure, 2 years early on a 5 year loan, and the figure has come back with the PPI refund being equal to only 7 months worth of payments....when there is still 24 months left.
How can this be right, ONLY 7 months out of 24 surely isn`t a fair figure for early settlemnt. Is it worth trying to argue that the amount is far too low for an early settlement of this loan?
Advice would be much appreciated

Hi and welcome Carolyn
Its awful isn't it?
Its the PPI added to the loan, like another loan on top of the original loan.
Wonder if your daughter was also mis sold the ppi, pressured to take it out, or they automatically added it to the loan, or maybe your daughter thought it was all part of the loan.
These polcies are costly and are no frowned upon, so I would check if your daughter has a reclaim to make, if so and if she succeeds, she will then possibly have the loan paid off and anything remaining and interest will be refunded directly to your daughter.
Check for more details on link below and ask for help if required, good luck.

Hi all
Just a quick couple of questions please and any help much apprecited.
How many years can you go back and claim PPI of loans and credit cards?
I have no paperwork in consideratin to these loans or credit cards that are paid off but looking back on my bank statements from years ago I have a direct debits with name of lender then a number, for eg...Loans Direct 1236446. Will that info be enough when making a cliam
Also even though I took the loan from Lloyds TSB the direct debit says Loans Direct, would I still need to contact Llloys TSB in regards to making a claim.
How would I go about contacting Lloyds TSB, is there a number i can phone or a address I can write to?
More than a couple of questions there:o:D, once again any help much apprecitaed0
