Hi Mollymoo, hope your well.
Mine is still ongoing with the FOS via insurer/underwriter, the FOS are trying to make these responsible.
But no proper answers as yet, although I recently received a letter to inform me they are continuing their investigations against the insurer.
It seems to be from what I have noticed over the last year or so this direction have been suggested by the FOS.;)The one and only "Dizzy Di"

Hello lovely people. Finally got a copy of my signed credit agreement from MBNA this morning. It shows that I clearly ticked "NO" to wanting PPI on my credit card yet they have taken the cash for the past 10 years. I took the card out in 2000, my question is, can I claim this far back? I can't believe that the cheeky g1ts have been taking my hard earned cash even though it is clear that I didn't want PPI in the first place.0

Hi Anna
Too damn right you can make a reclaim, the muppets should not have been charging you for this, you signed and ticked no.
Go for it.;)The one and only "Dizzy Di"

Anna, if you have all the paperwork going back this far then I can't see why not, so do give it a go, you have a great reason there straight away, you have been paying out for something you didn't know you had.;)The one and only "Dizzy Di"

Good for you Anna, this should actually be more or less straight forward with your reasons, so good luck anyway.:T:T:TXThe one and only "Dizzy Di"

Hi again nickybutch, Have you ever tried to ask for a SAR from Egg as this could prove your statements in that no-one has contacted?. This would cost you £10 but it may be worth it and it does also take 40 days to arrive but again may be all the ammunition you need.nickybutch wrote: »HI all,
If there is ANY misunderstanding or rudeness from my earlier blogs, I do apologise. My temper and frustrations get the better of me and I just want to let off steam.
One thing, regarding my PPI complaint with Egg. I have just wrote a truthful but understandable letter to the CEO Ms Natalie Ceeney at the FOS to see if she can help and move things along.
I am not getting anywhere fast as it is. Egg did lie to me saying on 16/8/2010 that someone had contacted me directly and had resolved my queries. But in fact, NO HAD CONTACTED ME DIRECTLY.
They also said earlier to the FOS that I got a PPI refund in October 2009 of £ 2281.97, but in fact I got £ 2020.01.
Lies, lies and more lies. This can't go on.
I am sorry that this is going on in circles with this complaint of mine, but I am letting off steam. I am frustrated and very angry.
Tnaks for all the help so far and as usual giving me and all of us good advice.
Again, I will let you know what the outcome is on all accounts.

Hiya mollymoo, this is a new avenue that FOS are "trying" to take against insurers of unregulated brokers. They are trying (and nothing is definate yet) to make them equally responsible for the misselling of PPI but getting them to accept is another thing. I know that FOS solicitors and insurers solicitors are in "talks" and it was ongoing but as you say, no-one has posted up winning this way. It is however your only other option (and although a long shot) with using FOS other than sueing personally through the courts of course which is daunting to say the least to the average Joe Bloggs.mollymoo96 wrote: »Hi how are you just a question really has anyone posted any wins with claming throught the underwriter. Hiya Anna, sorry not had time to look back over your posts but have you complained already and them say it was not missold? If you have then I would take this one to the CEO perhaps as well as making another complaint to the firm and maybe you will get your complaint looked at quicker. IF they let this one go to FOS they are fools really!!!I am seething, therefore I am filling out my questionnaire whilst I am filled with venom. Will keep you updated. This one is going off Special Delivery first thing on Monday :mad:0
