The claims company are registered with them but the officer advised me to contact the financial ombudsman.

no worries - best of luck and knock em dead....
  • Thanks everyone.

I'll re-send my intial letter that i got from this site, and add a few lines about being rejected before & my response to their rejection reason.

I'll no doubt get another rejection & i'll then follow the guidelines on here & send the second letter.

I've been patient before as used this site to get nearly £4k back in bank charges, and had to issue a small claims court proceedings against HSBC, so i assume i may have to go down the same route with this claim. And i feel a lot more bitter about this one than HSBC, as they are purposely forged my loan agreement (ticked the PPI box) which really makes me angry to be honest.

I'll let you all know how i get on.

    Thanks again

Hi everyone, I am new to the forum. I am in the middle of claiming back PPI from First Plus, but wanted to know if they have to pay compensation, or should I not push for it? Thanks.

Hi there, fp are not known to pay compensation,as they will give you a good will gesture so you will not even get the 8%. (unless you have gone through fos and if fp said no to your claim) You will get the ppi monthly payment back that you have paid to date with interest, the ppi total is rempved from the loan and your monthly payment reduces by the monthly ppi amount, hope this helps.
take a browse round this site..

Thanks for that. I haven't been to the fos yet as FP have made an offer, but have omitted to include the overpayments that I have been making. So I have written back today asking them to include those monies as well. I will let you know what happens.
  • Hi Farrka, Could I please ask what the offer is that Fp has made please, I have three offers on the table and would be interested to see if they are the same?
