Today i received a pathetic compliments slip with "list of ppi charges, ppi was not applied via your app form, it was done via a card activation call" with a list of all the PPI charges from March 2008 to July 2010. No name, no number nothing, is this acceptable? Also, what do i do now? I can't believe i have received such an un-professional response from a major bank! I'm actually in shock, any advice would be MUCH appreciated! I'm guessing i just fill out the 2nd letter and send that off to Natwest?
Regards
Bobbie
P.s. I apologise for not posting a new thread as i dont know how to lol.
Hi there, send the 2nd letter in, let us know what they say.Tell them that although it was done via a card activation call you fail to see how this has any bearing on your claim for mis sold insurance as this product was of no use to you.State the reasons and await the reply.0 -

Thank you very much, i will do this right away. Tbh i can't even remember activating this PPI on a call to the bank... i just assumed it was normal charges, i was 18 at the time and pretty thick... Thanks for your advice, would u say what ive stated in this letter is ok?

Hope this is ok and not a mouthful, i appreciate all the help!

there is a place on it when i had to sign to agree to the PPI, im guessing i must of signed this, so am i wondering if everyone else who is claiming off EGG must have signed exactly the same as me?
im worried i havent got a case because i signed it
Hi there
Yes everyone should have an agreement to sign before a loan or credit card etc is paid out, but this does not mean you will be unsuccessful in reclaiming, as there are still lots of reasons that you may have been mis sold.
Lots are still successful, and signed the agreement, so for whatever reasons you have keep at them.
It is also known the ppi part of it have been marked/ticked/crossed by the bank themselves, after signing have taken place, cos these agreements you sign for the loan anyway and not just for the ppi.
Good luck with your reclaiming.;)The one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -
Hi there,
I'm just about to send a request for my T&Cs for an old Abbey cc account. The actually lender was MBNA but I got the card via Abbey. As Santander took over Abbey, should I send my letter to Santander or MBNA?
Hi there
I would so as amersall says, and they must forward it on.
However, if you have your reasons for mis selling, and have the account number, you can still continue to make a reclaim without the paperwork, even though its handy to have in case you need to refer to it for some reason.
So, to make a reclaim, there is a FOS questionnaire, on this website, the questionnaire replaced the first template reclaiming letter.
So send to who set the policy up.
Keep a copy - in case you need to refer to it later on, this is also recommended by the financial ombudsman service.
They have 8 weeks in full to respond, although they may request for more time to investigate your complaint.
And if you can, post by recorded delivery - this is your proof of posting.
Follow the link below - to the guidelines of reclaiming, there is a checklist of reasons, and below the page the Stage one of reclaiming FOS questionnaire.

Hello di3004 :T
Thankyou very much for your reply and advice.
I was wondering :undecided what i should enter in the B3 and B4 questions on this form as i said i do not remember taking out the insurance, or i may have had a phone call about it, it was so long ago i really cant remember.
I do not want to jeopardise my claim in any way.
Thankyou in anticipation, just waiting for some advice before going ahead with the claim.:)0 -

Hi
And your very welcome.;)
It may be useful to request a Subject Access Request (SAR) if you cannot recall on the sale of the policy perhaps, the SAR normally discloses this information.
This is an optional request, and for this you enclose £10 cheque or postal order with this SAR letter, they then have up to 40 calendar days to comply.
SAR letter template here:
https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/1475553
If they are unable to supply, they then return your payment alongside with a letter to explain.
Hope this is helpful.
