hello ,can anyone tell me what my next step should be- I have recieved confirmation from the ombudsman that they have upheld my 2 claims agains TSB.Since then (about 2 months ago) I have phoned then twice but they say that TSB has not replied to their letters.I have also been advised that they have asked them to pay me £200 for each claim as extra compensation. This is all fine but I am getting nowhere as to when I will be compensated (it seems like they have worked out my compensation the same way as Bugsys ,and I would also prefere a cheque rather than putting it back into the credit cards) any advice would be welcome !!0

Hi there
First of all well done to you.:T:beer::j
So was this decision made by the adjudicator, or had it gone as far as the ombudsman himself do you know?
Normally, if this is the adjudicators decision, and the banks ignore, its normally moved on to the ombudsman, but otherwise if the ombudsman dealt with this decision, the bank MUST oblige.
I would keep in touch with the FOS regular on this, and also ask them if they would know how this is going to be repaid, they should be able to confirm, good luck and hope you won't be waiting too long.;)The one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -
:mad:thanks Di, yes it was just the adjudicator that passed the claim and they did say it would go to the ombudsman if they didn't re:mad:ply. It just seems so long to wait. I started these claims over 15 months ago. I also did loan ppi's as well and they were paid out promptly with no hassle so I am on a bit of a crusade with these now-why do they think they can hang on to what is basically your money , it makes my blood boil grrrr!!!0

Hi honey
Its very frustrating isn't it?
You should not be waiting as long as you did when waiting to be passed on to the adjudicator, but I would defo keep in touch with the FOS regularly, and if your in any financial hardship let them know, so they can then consider getting your case moved on quicker again for you.
Fingers crossed for you.;)The one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -

Hi there,
The adjudicator found in my favour in Feb and, as per normal, Lloyds ignored it.
My claim had been with the FOS for 2 and a half years so I wrote a very nice letter on the 14th July to Ms Natalie Ceeney, CBE, who is the Chief Executive and Chief Ombudsman. I got an immediate reply and within 8 days my complaint was seen by an Ombudsman and upheld in my favour.
I know my case was prioritised through time limit and financial hardship but a letter to her may help your cause as she has stated that one of her main aims is to cut down the time scales.0 -
I sent my letter for reclaim to firstplus about six weeks ago, thus far I had a letter saying it would all be done for July 13th, since then iv'e had one saying to make sure they come to the right decision it will now be 10th August. Is this normal delaying tactics and can I expect the standard NO reply in August? Or will they actually be looking into my case?0
