PPI Reclaiming Discussion part 4

Hi. I am just looking at the FOS form now which will be my first complaint to my providers as advised by a member of this forum.
Is there an example of a completed FOS questionnaire that I can look at as there are questions on the form that apply to people that have already sent a complaints letter.
Also... Am I to send each questionnaire directly to the Providers head office. Or to the branch I opened the policy?
Thanks0 -
It's my very first post (please be gentle with me).
I am not the type that likes to send complaint letters etc (I'm a "don't want to cause a fuss" type of person). But I have been lurking on this forum for a while and have plucked up the courage thanks to all of you lovely people and your support and have sent the first template letter off today to:
MBNA CC
Capital One CC
Egg Card
Abbey Loan PPI
Halifax Loan PPI
Egg Loan PPI
Shop Direct Finance (Choice catalogue)
Some of these accounts are closed but looking through my old statements I was shocked to see how much I was being charged and I didn't know that PPI could be cancelled!
What I would like to know is I have a current loan with Halifax, because I have sent the first letter can they start to treat me unfairly by for example decreasing my overdraft on my current account?
Any information would be gratefully received.0 -

Hi there
I have not come across an example FOS Questionnaire but thought there was help and advice on the same link as the form here.

I would complete to the best of your knowledge.
However if you do not have much documents, you could (optional) request for a Subject access request) SAR where they have 40 calendar days to send all details they hold on your account, but you enclose a payment of £10 cheque or postal order for this request, there is a SAR letter template for this here:
https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/1475553
There maybe useful info of your account in regards of your ppi enclosed.
You normally send to the head office of if they have a separate complaints office that will do, good luck.;)The one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -

Hi there
What company/bank are you referring to?
Some have data depts.
So you paid £10 cheque or postal order for the details? was this a Subject Access request (SAR) like the one on the link below where they should provide all they still hold, at least going back the last 6 years?
https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/1475553
Just checking because I am aware that some pay £10 to request for statements etc without the sar request.
But if its the agreements you require, you can request for copies of these by writing a simple letter like, please supply me with a copy of my agreement for loan account number XXXXXXXX, I enclose £1 cheque/postal order and expect to receive by 12 days. (Something like that will do).;)
However, just as long as you do have the account number and the reasons to make a reclaim, you can still continue to make a reclaim, and sometimes they then enclose the agreement back with their first response which should then be free.

Sorry if I have mis read, but hope this helps otherwise.
Good luck.;)The one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -

Hi there
I think they still class them as 2 different accounts, where 2 different amounts of ppi was added, but if you had a loan with the same bank, its possible they reduced the balance of the loan ppi on the first one to take out the other one.
Hope this makes sense.
You can still make a reclaim on the 2 accounts for the reasons you have for being mis sold, because you would not have been refunded the ppi, only possibly reduced where there is the remaining to reclaim on the first one and then all on the other existing loan.;)

Good luck and ask for help when required. The one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -
Hi Di,
Still smiling today........................:):):):)
Still having to pinch myself..................
Tried to do a calculation yesterday but got lost in all the numbers...
I did get a rough calculation that I had paid £12,500 in PPI payments alone, let alone any charges they applied, which are also refundable according to the Ombudsman decision.
When you got your money back from Lloyds did you have a choice of how to get paid as I would rather have a cheque so I can bank it elsewhere.
The fact that the Ombudsman has added a 'caviat' relating to Lloyds having to remove and reimburse 20 years worth of PPI and re use each monthly payment to reduce the balance without the PPI, means that this may well clear the outstanding balance I have.
Once all of this is sorted I plan to do my utmost to make sure that no one ever gives up.
I started my mini quest in October 2007 and hopefully provide testimony to the fact that if you stand by your convictions and beliefs you can get back what is rightly yours.
With the help of amazing people on here like you and Amersall........xx:p ONLY £50 NOTES PLEASE :rotfl::rotfl:
