    Hello
I sent my claim in December and finally after chasing it got them to reply in March to say that they were sure we were aware of all the details but would refund the PPI out of goodwill :j- However - we fell into arrears with the loan (actually only the last instalement) and it was passed onto TRITON. My husband repaid the loan to them- (it was a joint loan) but RBS are saying they are unable to issue the cheque to us as the loan is still in arrears. We have called Triton almost 10 times:mad: and it turns out that they actually owe US £10! But, despite many calls have not credited this to us , (last said a cheque was issued on 28th May) or informed RBS that the loan is settled. Every week RBS call me to ask if I want the cheque paid to Triton but I have asked them to hold onto it as I don't want to lose it! I do have an account that is in arrears with NatWest but Triton said it shouldn't make any difference to us getting our money back? I have today contacted the FOS to try to resolve this. Has anyone else had trouble getting the money back? I will update what happens when FOS receive forms.
    Thanks

Hi Kate, first of all well done on your success......, and good luck with the FOS as well - I'm sure they will sort this out for you.;)

  • Hi everyone

Sorry if this is a really thick question or has been answered many times before but my computer is playing up and won't let me search threads!

I've put in a claim with HSBC for PPI on 3 loans that totalled £48,000. The loans were paid off after 5 months due to me remortgaging. With the claims for PPI, will I (if successful) get back just the PPI that I paid over the 5 months or will they refund the total amount that was added to the loans?

Again apologies for being such a n00b with a rubbish computer!

    Hi there

    Not a problem.

When you settled the loans, the full amount of PPI would have been included, and therefore your still actually paying for it in your remortgage, so you receive the full smackers of it all back to you.

    Hope this helps, good one.

Your still able to send the CEO an email even its its waiting with the FOS, to chase this up, sometimes they agree with you, just as long as you send them a copy and keep them updated.;)

Edit: Arh right, its okay lots of posts lol, so your complaint is still waiting to be seen by an adjudicator then, I take it this is what you mean?

Sorry, I have not had the chance to look back on posts. X

Many thanks for that Di, it's been 6 weeks and 2 letters later I don't think they've started on my claim yet but I shall keep you posted.

Thanks again, may even spend my winnings if I'm successful on a new computer :D
