Thanks Di. I have a letter ready to go off to the Chief Ombudsman, I can't understand what the hold up is. Will post on Saturday if I don't hear anything from them. E-mailed 3 letters to the PPI Support team this week but have had no reply.0

Hi,
I was looking for some advice please.
I had a loan with Endeavour Personal Finance. I've wrote to them about claiming PPI and was told I needed to contact the broker. They say this was dial4Aloan.co.uk who are also Welcome Finance? I've contacted Welcome Finance who can't find any record of my loan.
However, I'm sure the broker was Loans.co.uk. I've rung the number on their website but was told they dissolved 6 months ago and the company he works for (which I missed the name of) bought the website and phone number?!. Looking on this forum though it seems people have had contact with them recently!
So, does anyone know if loans.co.uk still exist??? Is Loans.co.uk now Dial4ALoan???
Also, I had another loan with my now ex partner - am I able to claim alone or does it need to be a joint claim?
Thank you!0 -

Hi there
I also had a loan with Endeavour but the broker was that of Click Finance who also dissolved, it was suggested to go the insurer/underwriter direction by the Financial ombudman service (FOS), however, you may be able to go the financial compensation scheme direction (FSCS) depending if the broker you used was regulated by the FSA etc at the time you taken out the loan.
I could not go to the FSCS with this one because when I taken this out they were not regulated, so because of this they would not be listed with neither the FSCS or the FOS), because the FOS are only able to investigate complaints if they were regulated.
But what I would do is contact the FOS for advice on this first, they should lead you in the right direction.

There are ways around this, see what the FOS advise for you, good luck and please keep us posted.;)The one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -

Hi there
If they still hold information going back further that 2004 (beyond the 6 years), then you can ask that they go this far on refunding, but otherwise they must go back as far as the last 6 years.
Good luck, please keep us posted.;)The one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -
