I have sent a letter to the FOS and spoken to them on the grounds of financial hardship and ill health.
I have spoken to Lloyds and they have just initiated another investigation into my complaint about my complaint!!!!
Someone please tell me some positive news about the FOS dealing with complaints..................
It will be 1,000 days on Sunday and it is a landmark that I didnt think that I would reach..0 -

Hi all,
ok, this is my second claim, and i would care for comments, basically a few year back, i had a timeshare loan, when i was unhappy about the agreement, i asked for a new one, and oh dear, it has no signatures........... so i wrote saying i was unhappy and wanted my ppi back, this is what they have said, ah also i sent the follow up template today after having a refusal.
As you know your loan for £4700 completed with universal credit limited (UCL), A subsiduary of ltsb, on 27 june 1997. Paragon aquired UCL in march 1998.
Our records indicate on 19.02.2001, you telephoned us as you wanted to cancel the pp policy, we advised you that we needed your written authority in order to cancel the policy, however this was not forthcoming.
On 31.12.2002 you phoned again and requested to cancel, again we requested this in writing, we did not receive a written request. We received a letter in january 2005, at which time the policy was cancelled.
i have noted that you believe the pp policy was mis sold. the application was submitted to paragon by the time share introducer..(name withheld). they were responsible for the sale of the loan and insurance ensuring copies of the t and c's were provided and then addressing any issues that may have arisen. they processed all the paperwork relating to the application and sent us the fully packaged doc's after the credit agreement was executed. i suggest you contact the timeshare company direct.
i would add the policy was taken out in excess of six years ago, as such any allegation relating to the mis selling of the policy would be statute barred under limitation act 1980 blah blah blah0 -

Hi
Its correct that the ones who set this up from the start is the ones responsible, but you could contact the FOS and ask for some advice on this one, as many are still successful with reclaiming PPI from even the 1990's.
But........if the business were not covered or regulated as such from when you taken out the finance, for instance by FSA prior to these were GISC, then it may be the case that FOS will suggest another direction, such as the insurer/underwriter who they are also trying to make responsible as well, as they do have a part in this.
And they would have been regulated.
So personally I would ask the FOS for advice and guidance on this one if you can.

Good luck with this, please keep us posted. Cheers. The one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -

Yes you do have a point here.
Some do try passing the buck don't they?
Do contact the FOS on this though, at least then you have had this clarified.;) So therefore when you do get in touch with the business you can tell them that as well.
However, you can actually request the FOS to write on your behalf. The one and only "Dizzy Di"0
