How long did Lloyds take to respond to emails?
And what was the timescale for the refund after returning the acceptance slip?
We are now officially over the 8 weeks and i'm still waiting for a final response on 2 of the complaints and returned acceptance slips over 3 weeks back.
I put in the email that i'm happy to give them a bit longer if we can come to an agreement on the 2 open complaints and save messing with fos or court but would they let me know either way.
Hi
Normally for me either the same day, depending on what part of the day, if I emailed in the morning, by the end of they day they would respond.
If emailed later in the day, they would normally respond by the following day, late morning time.
However, I do also copy the emails to the CEO (Chief exective officer as well), this way I found the customer service dept got back quicker.
customer.care.insurance@lloydstsb.co.uk
copy to CEO
Eric.Daniels@lloydstsb.co.uk
You have been waiting for some time haven't you?
Remember to enclose your complaint ref numbers as well.
Hope they get back to you very soon, fingers crossed.:)The one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -

Hi there.
Sorry if this question has been asked before, but can you relcaim PPI when in a debt management scheme?
My husband took out a loan from Northern Rock in 2005 and was told at that time (over the phone) that he would have to take out PPI in order for the loan to be agreed.
In 2006 we ended up in debt management and Northern Rock have continued to include the PPI in our repayment scheme. In 2008 we wrote to the insurance company and cancelled the insurance - a copy of the letter confirming cancellation was sent to Northern Rock by the provider. A few months later we asked Northern Rock to cancel the insurance from the loan and they told my husband he would have to take out a new loan agreement - they even sent him a new credit agreement to sign (which he didn't0.
I am pressing him to try and reclaim the PPI but he is concerned as he has defaulted on the loan and is in debt management.
Grateful for any advice.0 -

Hi and welcome
Yes you can, with it being with debt management anyway, the policy is worthless to you.
What may happen though if successful the ppi may be refunded towards the arrears, but you should receive the interest paid directly to you.
I also note that some banks work that way, if cancellation is after the cooling period, they then deal with this as a new loan to pay off the existing loan, where the new loan would not have ppi.
But to continue to make a reclaim with your reasons, complete the financial ombudsman service (FOS) questionnaire, this is instead of letters, and are recently quite new, you will find this as Stage one further down the page on the link below:
http://www.moneysavingexpert.com/reclaim/ppi-loan-insurance
Complete and send to whom is responsible for setting the loan up and save a copy as well.
They have 8 weeks in full to respond.
You can as well post on the debtfreewannbe thread and ask others who have been in the same situation as you, when they have made a reclaim whilst with debt management.

hope you find this helpful and useful.
Good luck, please keep us posted.;)The one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -

Hi
blimey they are giving you the runaround!!
For this I do hope they uphold your complaint after all that waiting, you deserve to be compensated for the distress and inconvenience as well.
Good luck.;)The one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -
Thank you for your reply. I actually would prefer them to offset any money (if successful) against what is owed. Our current Debt management plan means it will take us another 16 years to pay off all the debt so any extra we have to pay off will be a great help.
Just one more thing, I've had a quick look at the PPI Guide. Where can I find out if Northern Rock were a member of the FSA in 2005?
I am most grateful for your advice. Thank you0 -

Hi and your welcome.
Yes in that case its wise to use this against the debt.;)
I am certain they were covered by the FSA by then, however the FOS will be able to confirm this to you, if you ring them as a general query.
