Hi
Think I may have made a mistake. 3 loans with RBS, which they have paid out on mis-sold PPI. Each time I had to sign a form saying I was accepting the money in full and final settlement. However I think they have not applied the proper interest on these. Should I ask the FOS what to do? Feel like I have been mis-led and am now aware that RBS don't pay interest as per FOS guidelines. But have I shot myself in the foot by signing?
Thanks..0 -

Hi, hope your well.
Yes I would.
I hear some banks state they calculate in line with the FOS and its not always the case, so worth checking on this, every penny counts, good luck.
Have you actually mentioned this to RBS as well? The one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -
No, I haven't said to them but can almost guarantee if I write to them they will refer me back to the form I signed saying I accepted that amount in full and final settlement. Prob worth speaking to FOS because if they say there's nothing they can do, there's no point :-(0

Althought you have signed in full and final you usually do that before you see the final figures. If you are not satisfied contact the company agai in writing give them say 2 weeks to respond then ring FOS to ask their opinion. they will give you good advice.:mad:0 -
Hi Max
They have actually never provided me with any breakdown. They just gave me the number and said sign and accept. Does this help?
Thanks!0 -
P.S. Max, the earliest claim was "settled" in August and the last 2 end of 2009/early 2010. The other problem is that I have cashed all the cheques...0

Hi Guys
Am new to this and just wondering if anyone can give me some advice
Took a loan out in 2006
Total = £16874.04
Been repaying £281.23 each and every month since. I have something like £4200.00 left to pay so 15 months of payments left
I am more than sure I have all the relevant paper work at home
Can someone give me some ideas or best places to go with regards to claiming PPI
Many thanks0
