Hi First Post,
Have been trying to reclaim P.P.I from Loans .Co .UK since Nov 2008.Received letter from them on 22/12/08 stating that we had been missold P.P.I and refund would be sent in due course. After about 30 phone calls ,Hubby phoned again today to be told Cheque ready ,but they are waiting for Director to counter sign Cheque .Not even had any indication from them regarding amount to be refunded.Would it be worth while to phone F.O.S to see if they would take case over as we are banging our head against a brick wall with this lot.
Any suggestions most appreciated .
Thank You0 -

Hi there
Well done on your achievement here.:T  Even better when you know the amounts and get the money !!
After you sign an agreement I think its generally paid within 28 days, some can be as early as 14 days, maybe a LBA (letter before action) would be a good idea.
I did have a template for this but unable to find it, with mine, I had wrote a letter to tell them as this has been agreed on so and so date, I will appreciate it if you could refund my monies owed to me within the PPI, interest, plus charges occurred within 14 days, or further action will be sought to retrieve the refund.
(obviously the letter was more official) lol.
I then received the full refund within 10 or 12 days after.
They should aim to put you back in the postion as if you did not take out PPI, plus interest and charges occured on this.
There is no harm done in just contacting the FOS, just to see if they can advise anything at this point here, because it has gone on too long from what I can make out, good luck.;)

Hi there, I received my letter from Barclays today telling me that they are refunding my PPI plus the interest on the PPI back onto the loan. They have also given me two checks one for the part monthly repayments that was paid towards the policy and also another check for the 8%interest on the monthly payments for the premium. They say that the care team will be contacting me to tell me what the revised monthly payments will be so that will be interesting. There is no acknowledgement of the misselling nor more interestingly, an appology.
There are no calculations though so I don't know how they worked it all out or if there figures are correct. Am I entillted to those?
Cheers peeps.0 -

I just wanted to say that OH received a letter today from Halifax credit card, they apologised and have refunded the whole £180 back for late payment fees etc. :j
I sent off the template letters from here asking for the £12 fees back and they said sod off at first but after being on here I got my woman-on-the-edge head onand wrote back again complaining for being charged twice some months.
I know this is the wrong thread for this kind of thing but I wanted to say honestly that if it hadn't have been for you guys chatting on here so openly I would never have even bothered starting to write those letters asking the creditors for money back. I wouldn't have even knew that I could.
OK so £180 is a small amount compared to some of your ppi reclaims but I just wanted to share the good news and say a big 'THANKS' you really do help the little people like me gain the confidence and courage through supportive words to fight the big people.
Keep up the good work people!

p.s we still owe Halifax like 7 million on our DMP but thats not the point! :rotfl:DMP support thread member 211 :cool:I'm only here to get some medals......honest!0 -
