I've already done the letter referring to both the loans and enclosing a copy of both credit agreements because I thought that as one was used to pay off the other they would link them up together anyway.

Hope that won't make any difference.:(
yes thats fine, fingers crossed x

A quick question on loan top-ups. I have a loan in 2003 with PPI a total of £750, we had a top up loan in 2004 which paid of outstanding on the old loan. Now when I reclaim the PPI would I only get back the year I had paid, which is about £200 or can i claim the whole amount as i had i still had to pay it all with the top up.

Also on my PPI agreement it says insured next to both our names (joint loan) so were we really both insured as I have read that normally only 1 person is insured. Also I only worked about 14-15 hours a week, does this effect it.

    Thanks
hi there, when you settled your first loan you would have had a rebate of ppi, new ppi was added to the new loan with interest. (let them know you have the 2 and one was rolled into the other) if you win mis sell you will get back ppi paid to date with interest, less any rebate they gave you . on the second one you will have the ppi back you have paid to date with interest and the ppi total amount taken off your loan and the loan reset to what it should have been without ppi, so your monthly payment will go down, hope this helps, and good luck

Hi there, chase them up if you receive nothing by the 28 days or a full month from accepting, good luck.

    Hi debikitch:)
Can you tell me how long it was before they made you an offer once you had sent them the letter? or did you have to go to the FOS?

    Thanks:D

  • Hi,

I tried to reclaim my PPI for my 2 loans taken from Cooperative bank. These loans were taken long long time ago, on January 1999 and closed in January 2002. I received a letter from Cooperative Bank today that they cannot take any further action by way of investigating this matter using the standard complaints procedure and evidential basis because under statute, they have the right to refuse any claim for damages where the cause of the loss alleged was more than six years ago, or where I were aware, or should reasonably have been aware of any loss, more than 3 years ago.
I just want to ask if I could still continue pursuing this complaint, as they have given me their final response. If yes, then whats my next move?

Thanks a lot and hope somebody can enlighten me with this.
