Ok something has just occurred to me as well, before I send this questionnaire back.

The first loan I took out with Barclays was actually 1998, and I actually have 3 agreements here, where I was persuaded to have a top up loan each of these times.

What I am thinking now is, do I have a valid claim all of these going back to '98 as they are all top ups, are are they treated as separate agreements and only valid claim now is the one I am going for, last one of 2004?

    Thanks again
hi there, if i were you i would (if you have them) put all 3 agreement numbers on the form and explain they were rolled over each time and you would like the other 2 looked at as well.

Thank you, do you think I need to send another letter adding these other ones on, or a note with the questionairre, saying I wish to claim from that first agreement?

Hi, Ive had a quick scan through but can't seem to find my answers....

I've just recently started a DMP with CCCS and one of my creditors is Halifax, we took out a loan with them a couple of years ago with PPI, I don't want to reclaim this as I did agree to it at the time but was wondering if I can cancel it? or if because it's a loan it's all added on at the beginning ? Obviously now we're on a DMP we won't be using the PPI.

    Hi there

I would check the policy details on this if you still have them, or ask for them to send you these through the post.
I assume you can cancel at any time, if you have started DMP, the PPI is now possibly worthless to you, so no harm in trying.;)

Thanks for the info, will keep you updated with the outcome.

Its not a massive amount as was only PPI on a 3 piece suite, but it was because we were sold the PPI by the store sales assistant and not a financial sales person, and nothing was mentioned about the PPI really, also as I have 6 month Accident & Sick leave from my work, the PPI is pretty useless anyway.

    Hi and your welcome.
Still worth giving it a go, and remember it all adds up, with the interest as well, good luck and we look forward to hearing from you.:);)

    Hi, thanks for the help!

I will send a letter today explaining the reasons why I think I was mis-sold the PPI.

I dont have any of the loan documentation as it was so old now, is this going to pose a problem?

I will keep you updated on my situation :)
