PPI Reclaiming Discussion part 4

Hello,
Ive been trying to rack my brains regarding the loan that I took out back in 2003 with EGG and cannot remember how I applied. I have a sinking feeling that my application may have been online, but also remember speaking to an operator also.
At the time I was not made aware that it was possible for me to locate the insurance elsewhere and a much cheaper premium due to my inexperiance with money issues. I have sent my letter, back into EGG confirming this and am anticipating a big No-No from them in reply.
Am I kidding myself that they may be willing to pay out , when I possibly ticked the PPI box online after advise given from a phonecall.
Also is there any tips or advice on how I should advance once I get back the letter stating I applied online so they will not uphold my Claim. My loan will run for another two year and the PPI payment plus Interest, would clear the last two years I have to pay.
Thanks for reading and any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Adam B
Hi Adam
My online PPI claim was rejected by Egg and is now with an Adjudicator.
Best plan of action when you get their final response is to file a complaint with the FOS. Either download the complaint form or ring them up and they will give you a complaint number and post the forms to you.
The PPI box was pre-selected when I applied in Jan 2004 and these are th grounds upon which I am complaining as well as the fact that I was sent a letter saying I was pre-approved for a lon of £xxx and i had a reference to logon and submit a partially completed application. I can't remember seeing the PPI being shown separately on the screen.
Good luck!0 -
Thank you for your replies on my Message.
My fingers are crossed and I shall wait and see the outcome.
I believe that their refusal to refund will make my plight more intense and dedicated, as I think the PPI misell issue is a big one. I shall be more determined to fight the case and go all the way with the FOS. Nearly 8years of paying into a loan that 33% is PPI is not a good thing and had I had more finanacial nouse at the time would not have been tricked into this situation.
Thanks again and I shall keep you updated.0 -

Hello there
I received one as well and so have Marshallka, as we are also with Pinnacle.
Did you notice a monthly increase over the last year? That actual amount you was paying over is what you will receive back.
This was something the FSA I think it was had suggested rising for short time but only for a temporary amount of time, so you should receive all they owe you what you have overpaid in that time.;)
They should have sent you a breakdown. X
Hiya thanks for replying yes they said they are refunding me some money. But i didnt even know i had ppi so would it be something i could get a refund on or do i need to have ppi on a mortgage? thanks0 -

These methods always get me confused myself, shame there was not an automatic button on here so we had the option of attaching documents.XXThe one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -
