    Hi Di....thanks for your reply
The Agent was Relax Finance Ltd and they were the ones that organised the loan through Nemo Finance

    Jo

    Hi Jo

Nemo were also the lender to my first loan and 2nd loan through an advance, the broker was Twopart for the first loan who arranged the nemo loan, so for the first one I tried the broker and like yourself they went down under, so this was then dealt with by the FSCS.;)

I would then contact the FSCS to ask if they are listed with them under Relax Finance Ltd.
I have not came across these before, so do ring then to check with the FSCS, and please let us know, I believe they are open until either 5 or 5:30 pm.

    Hi Di
Thankyou very much, have just phoned them and as far as they are aware they have not heard of Relax Finance but they did say that if it is with the financial ombudsmen then the name will be listed with them and then what normally happens is that the F.O will send the file over to them and then they send out a claim form for me to fill in. Thankyou for your advice, I was going to give up when I heard they had gone under...so glad that I posted this on here

I take it you posted it by recorded delivery and have the proof of when they received this?
I am wondering if they had to pass on to another dept perhaps?
I would see what Friday would bring and if you hear nothing then give them a call for an update on this.
    Good luck.;)

Thanks for the helpful replies too. Looks like we all want the same reassurances - hope we get satisfaction.
  • What were you reclaiming: 4 loans from the last 6 years
Who was the provider: Lloyds Tsb
How much did you get back: A little over 17,000k
Did you get it back after a letter or did you go to the Financial Ombudsman: After one letter each time

    Brief story:
I downloaded the first letter and followed Martin's instructions exactly. After 2 weeks I was informed by the bank that it was being processed. 4 weeks more and I had my PPI back for the first loan with 8% on top as stated. I did this for all 4 loans for the last 6 years and each time was the same. In the last 6 months I have received in total a little over 17,000 pounds. No wonder I could never get ahead with my debt when most of it was going into the banks pocket!
Martin: You are the peoples own Robin Hood. You have changed our lives not only with the reclaimed PPI but also with all your recommendations for saving money on bills. Words are not enough to express our gratitude. So many Thanks.

    Hi Jo

That is great news and they are correct in what they said, it they are listed under the FOS then eventually your files will be moved on to them and they will end up being listed with them, so that you can make your claim, but in your case then as you already been with the FOS, as stated they will pass over your files and for any further information they will request this at a later date, maybe by their sideline company called Deloittes.

I would check the site, you do not lose hardly anything, and will receive almost all your compo more or less, there should actually be more info on how they calculate on their website:
    http://fscs.org.uk/what-we-cover/eligibility-rules/compensation-limits/

As mine have been resolved a few months now I was actually surprised with what I received, which was a few more hundred more on top of the PPI amount with the interest etc, you will do okay I'm sure.;)
