Hi Colin
I would keep the charges side of it separate to that of the actual PPI reclaiming, and would post about the charges on the reclaim bank and credit card charges on thread here below, where help will be given on this matter for you there:
http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/forumdisplay.html?f=102
You will know where you are then.
In regards of the PPI interest, this can vary from one bank to another, but to give you just an idea of how the FOS calculates refunds, check out this thread here:
http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=1596473
Its what MAXDP posted and very useful.
Hope this helps for now, meanwhile hopefully anyone who have had dealings with CAP ONE will also post up with some info for you, good luck with the charges and the PPI reclaiming, please keep us posted.

Hi all, hope everyone is enjoying the bit of sunshine we have while it lasts :-)
I just have a quick question, I sent letters to RBS about missold PPI on 3 loans, 2 loans settled and 1 still active with CCJ. I have had the usual holding letters; 8 weeks passed and I sent my complaint for 2 out of the 3 loans to the FOS (although not yet been allocated a reference number). Anyway I have now received an offer for 1 loan. They are offering to pay back all premiums I paid before the loan was settled, but this does not include the 8% interest. Should I write and ask for this?0 -

Hello there
Yes you can try to request for this if you want to, well done to you and good luck on the others too.:beer:The one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -
Thank you di yet again.
sorry to be thick but i have added up all the monthly charges for the ppi,do i add 8% to each charge or add 8% to the final total.would another way be to ask for the total plus the actual rate of interest caharged on the monthly amount.
hope this makes sense.
thanks colin0 -

Your not thick Colin,:D lol, iot can be quite confusing this and still confuses me now.....now I am hoping someone can come in and clarify on this one, I assumed it was the 8% for the year but I could be wrong, did you check the FOS refund calculation thread I posted in my above post?
As it could be the monthly amount as well, and the extra 8% interest would also be on top of that of what a court would award, so you may be right here as per month charge.
Think I'm confusing myself now as well.......:oThe one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -

As this complaint has already been sent to the FOS (no ref allocated yet), would I let them know that an offer without the 8% has been made for 1 loan? Would it be better if I wait for the FOS to look into all loans and reclaim this back for me? Just asking in case I send a letter and RBS refuse to give the 8%.0 -
Thanks Di for your quick response

Hi there and your welcome.
Yes any offers you have had you should let the FOS know about this, if you were not happy with that actual offer on that loan, let the FOS know that as well where they will continue to take a look at all, but if you were happy with the offer still let them know and tell them you would appreciate they they continue to look at the other 2.
As you have not been given a ref number yet, ring them and give them your account details, they should track down your information by letting them know the details, they may actually give you a ref number on the phone.
Good luck.:)
