PPI Reclaiming Discussion part 4

thank you very much!
I have done a PPI reclaim on my loan (successfully
:D:D) and my dad was wondering whether he could reclaim the PPI on his old loan (he has a "feeling" he had some on there :rotfl:) so i think i'll do a bit of digging and find out!
thank you! :j
Its my pleasure
And yes for the reasons your dad has, and just as long as he still has the account number then go for it.;)
It makes no difference if they are active or paid up loans.
Good luck.:):jThe one and only "Dizzy Di"

I would say either the address at the top or the last one, maybe someone will clarify this, but post by recorded delivery to ensure your letter arrives to them, you can then check out the delivery with the tracking number on the Royal mail website "tracking", but they will pass on to the main dept for you anyway.
For more on reclaiming here:

Check the above link to help you through this, they have 8 weeks in full to respond in full, keep on at them, and please let us know how you get on, ask for help anytime.
Good luck.

If you have any monthly statements, you should find the account number on them, so just as long as you have that, then you can still write to them by writing the account number, however even if you still have hold of the same Credit Card the account number details are shown on that too.
You could though otherwise contact them and ask if they will send you any details of the credit card (paperwork - agreement) or you write to request for a copy of the agreement and enclose a £ postal order or cheque payment, ask that they send by 12 days.
Good luck.;)The one and only "Dizzy Di"

hi di3004,thanks for your quick response, i have a statement from october 08 but it doesnt give the number on the statement it just says payment protection cover £80.20.My card number is different as that card has expired so i have included the new and old numbers in the letter,i also have a letter from card services from feb 09 telling me of changes to my ppi from april 09 this doesn't give the number either but i'm not sure if lloyds changed their insurers, does this matter i wont have to chase up the old ones will i?
My head is getting sore lol but the thought of maybe getting money back is spurring me on ha ha, thanks again..0 -

Your welcome.
I was to ask, do you bank with these as well?
If so by using your bank account number you could request a Subject Access Request (SAR), and they have to send ALL they hold on you going back at least 5/6 years, however for this request it costs £10 payable by cheque or postal order, and they have 40 days to comply, if you do this then personally I would post by recorded delivery.
By writing your bank account number - they have to send everything they have on you, any loans taken out, credit cards and so on.
Template SAR here:
http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=1475553
But otherwise if you remember dates of when you taken them out, give them as many personal details as possible, name/address DOB, and any old addresses if you taken any of them out living elsewhere.
And of course for just the agreements its just a £1 as stated in my above post and they have 12 days.
Hope this helps.;)The one and only "Dizzy Di"

Just a quick update, I have written back to LTSB asking for some rough figures as I am not going to sign anything in full and final settelment without having an idea of how much they are offering. I also said I disagreed with their ruling that I wasn't mis sold on one of my loans (but was on the other 3!!??) Hoping to hear back soon but will prob send it off to the FOS.
Thanks for all the great support and advice.
Just a quick update, LTSB have agreed that I was mis sold the middle of my 4 loans!! And will refund money as per previous formula which I can't get my head round lol They can't give me any rough figures as it is up to the date I sign :undecided
I am wondering if I should ring the FOS to get some advice as LTSB have agreed I was mis sold on all of my 4 loans and I am wondering if I can get them to work out new figures on all of the loans that were refinanced without the PPI which made the amount I borrowed so much more and on each subsequent loan as well. I hope that makes sense to someone lol. Any advice really welcome. Thanks for all the support on here, you are wonderful :T0 -

Fantastic :beer::T:beer:
Well done :T:T
There is no harm done in contacting the FOS on this for advice if you want to, if LLoyds had supplied details for you, then you could have posted them up on here for these to be checked for you, but hopefully the FOS will advise on this anyway, good luck.
