So emily I believe every one is interested as to what errands you do. Could you please put us out of our misery, then I will have to get my b$%^side of the chair and do some cleaning after I have finished my :coffee:
What time does she normally post? Perhaps we need to ask her just before she posts so that she sees us asking? I'm really intrigued now! She is a woman of mystery!
I only woke up at 11! My cold isn't too bad today, and my fiend has cancelled meeting up later as she can't get out of her road, so I WILL be doing some flying today. I WILL she mutters to self, trying to convince herself

OMG so i'm not the only one who thinks orange ones have a flavour...thankyou, thankyou, thankyou:rotfl: .

    My list;

    [strike]Strip bedding.. and wash
vacuum off the dustmites and turn the mattress!
Clear the floors of gibble!! and vacuum them
    Wash windows
Tidy up all the books and games on the shelves
Find 5 things EACH to go live elsewhere.. they have to be your own!!
    Binbag dance! [/strike]

Everything I had left to do today has now been done. I'm on a roll.

I will now go and study  rather than be a disruptive influence on this board. Well, for a bit anyway :rotfl: xx

Don't forget you have to do your radiators properly too :p

I've had a go at the utility room floor, using the recommended concentration, but I don't think it makes any difference. I'll give it another go at a stronger concentration when I can face the smell (sulphurous/almondy kind of smell!). If it doesn't work, I'll get the builder to take them up when he comes to finish off the rest of the stuff, and tell him I can't afford to replace them and get them redone this time (hopefully this will shame him into sorting it out properly... but as he's married to a colleague I can't be too difficult about it!). And then I'll get my brother to pick up some more in when he goes to get his, and find someone else to do them (in fact, maybe I'll follow soappie's example and just do them myself  ).

I might be able to sell the damaged tiles as 'distressed' as they really just look old, but obviously don't match the ones that weren't damaged (and aren't really the look I was going for either...).

    Right... laundry...

    Glad you're making progress! ;)

Tiles were damaged when they were being laid in December - the guy who was doing them clearly hadn't dealt with terracotta before. I'd put him in touch with the place that sold them to me, asked if needed any specialist stuff from them and he said no... and then for some reason used black grout on them. Because the tiles are porous, the grout set much more quickly, so there is a lot of cement on them which I'm having trouble getting off, and I think the dye from the black grout may well have stained the tiles.

I'd hoped if I ignored it, the problem would go away, but it won't! I'm planning on going to Ikea on Friday to pick up the last few bits that are needed to finish the room, and then get him to come back (hopefully not for more than a couple of days) to finish off and either grout the floor (so I can seal it) or take it up (so I can get someone else to do it!)
