. Now I know it’s a simple in/out op that should not get complicated but so was his VSD closure and that took 3 ops. I am feeling unnecessarily anxious and hope I can convince myself that it will all be fine. It’s about a 2-3m waiting list.
Please let me know of your good experiences with grommets/adenoidectomy.
Sorry Irie I missed this, my DD3 has had 4 sets of grommets from the age of 4. She's now nearly 8, and hasn't had them in for 12 months.
The first time she had them I was terribly anxious about it. I can understand your concerns with regard to it being a small unit. I can only suggest you have a chat with them about what happens in the event of an emergency, given your previous experiences with him.
Hope you can try to relax about it, it is a small routine op, but it's your baby too, and no-one can underestimate the worry we feel for our children. (((hugs)))
ETA: They were incredibly successful for her. The only downside was that they did keep coming out, unfortunately, her ear canals were way too narrow for her to have the T-tube style grommets, which hold in place better. HTHMMSSB Club Founder Member

I'm now clean(ish), so must go out for my walk/shop. Just need to make sure that I don't take my hat off in the shop, as I've got oil in my hair and can't be bothered to wash it :rolleyes:0

done some research on what additional storage I might be able to get for my study!
Back from shops and thawed out. Not too bad walking through new snow - and avoiding the hard packed bits. Even had sunshine and got back before the next snow shower.
Now need to decide what to do. First item read the letter from my OU tutor (I was beginning to worry when I would hear from him)0 -
Morning all!!!
not the early start I had wanted but have managed a few bits before I came on here with my brekkie! (oops!)
catch-ups first!
michelle nice to see you honey - scary thought that you are heading back to work!!! good idea to give yourself some me time in the last week so have you worked out a schedule between now and then of what needs doing?
perhaps one extra job a day and not your usual mammoth lists!!!:rotfl:
jennyjewell hello and you have indeed come to the right place - will send you a pm shortly!
irie cant help with the results of that kind of op but can you discuss your fears with the surgeon/consultant- you dont want your worry/stress transferring onto DS. Hows the work going - are you getting to bed any earlier?? You need your sleep too remember ((hug))
thanks for the reminder about the window cleaning SGT I had forgotten!!! (I read it somewhere too!)
kazw does that mean you have completed all pigpen's list and I can put you down for 5 stars???
ooooh A verl large spider has just appearred on the wall beside me - where did he come from - oh well he has now been suitably dealt with - you can relax again greenbee!!
I too am wondering about pigpen but she has a lot on her plate just now and I am sure she will be along later. The whole idea of the lists is to get the house in order so that we can have more time off at weekends so it has worked for some of you this week through working for your stars!!!
I am sure there are things you have been putting off that you can catch up with if you feel so inclined (greenbee's study!!) - and get yourself organised for being back at work/school for monday instead of leaving it all until sunday night? and if not then you can relax and have time with your family!!!
oooh didnt mean that to sound like a lecture - sorry!!! I will shut up now and go away!!!!

I've got a headache so am going to sit quietly for a bit in the hope it disappears, drink some water and pop some paracetomols. Have done the mealplan and a rough shopping list. DH was on at me to do an internet shop but we're eating so much fresh veg and fish etc at the moment i'm not keen as I like to choose my own! I also quite like the routine of mealplanning on a Sat morning, coffee out and then doing the shopping with my trolley!
ETA: don't want to put off the flying for too long...anyone fancy a HHC 11.45-12.15?

Yes I have done it all, but please remember I don't have any kids, and the house was decluttered BIG time a few years ago when I got divorced, (ie he took furniture / stuff etc when he went and I never replaced it) and it has never got to be untidy as such since.
I do admit that the 2 lofts and garage could do with a major declutter, but I have that in mind for slightly warmer weather April time! Although I have started, took some old carpet up the tip the other weekend.
But I must say since I have joined this thread my house is even clearer / cleaner than it was.
I just don't do the jobs on the days give in the first post, but to me that is no big deal, because everything else that is left gets done on Saturday mornings.
And I do do the kitchen floor everyday and least twice some days as the cats leave foot prints every wher in this weather!Breast Cancer Now 100 miles October 2022 100 / 100miles

And be warned everybody - I will be doing a major declutter of my email inbox next weekend to send jokes and stories for Lady L to read when she is recovering so you will all get them and then I know I will be up to date! I wish I had thought about it when Mudbath was first recouperating but as it was christmas time she was fairly well occupied.
Great Kazw - but you have done all that is relevant to you and thats what counts! Its nice to hear that you have things under control and can see the difference! there's hope for me yet then!!!
