Welcome JennyJewell - as soappie says, Toots will be along to give you all the information you need soon. In the meantime, don't attempt to catch up on the whole week in one weekend (that's for experiences flyladies like soappie who can replace their kitchen floor over the weekend just to get out of cleaning it
).
If you feel that you want to get going now, focus on the decluttering extras listed at the end of each day - clear out a drawer or cupboard, get the stuff off the floor and put away, or get to the bottom of your ironing pile... or if you're like me, deal with the paperwork and clear your desk
I'm off to find some breakfast. I've aired the house, closed the windows again (its cold!!), put the heating and dehumidified on to deal with the condensation/ice on the inside of the windows, and done some research on what additional storage I might be able to get for my study!0 -
Morning all,
Soapie, don't know where I read this but, when you clean your windows if you polish one side horizontally & the other side vertically, you can see which way the smear is going & then you can get rid of the offending mark.

Morning all
Hope you are all ok and not too cold. It is freezing here so don't think I will stay on computer too long as it is too cold to be still. Loads of snow and ice about here and have heard Council has run out of salt and is waiting for a delivery from Spain!!
I have done nothing all week!!!! as felt so tired......but now on new meds from America and wow do I feel better! I have got up and cleaned the kitchen worktops, done 4 lots of washing up (it was very very bad - think 2 teenagers fending for them selves!). now ready to tackle the washing and then yet more ironing as it covers the sofa (right up to the top of the back - see so bad!)
Will be back later to up date and try and catch up on your news as it does keep me motivated.

Morning all.
We had asked for an earlier appointment with ENT for DS a fortnight ago, as his hearing has been getting worse, so in wed post (no post Mon or Tue here) we had an app for Fri morning. The good news is that he is now on the waiting list for grommets and while they are at it they will remove his adenoids if they need doing. They wouldn’t touch his tonsils at this stage so he may sound a bit slurred a bit longer. The scary bit is that they will do it at out local hospital which does not have a paed ICU if they can find an anes who is willing to do him. Now I know it’s a simple in/out op that should not get complicated but so was his VSD closure and that took 3 ops. I am feeling unnecessarily anxious and hope I can convince myself that it will all be fine. It’s about a 2-3m waiting list.
Please let me know of your good experiences with grommets/adenoidectomy.
The plan for today is to level 3 the kitchen and make teething bics for DD and oaty ones for us. I’ll also get on top of the laundry mountain which I collected from all over last week. And hopefully without over committing my time I hope to dive in and sort kiddies’ clothes and remove the ones that don’t fit any more.
Welcome Jenny
Thanks for the tip SGT. I have been struggling with that as well. The work will wait for you to finish showing the LOs the rainbow, but the rainbow would not wait for you to finish the work.0 -
Gryfon - don't overdo things! Hopefully if Mr G sees all your activity he will be [strike]shamed [/strike]encouraged to do something to help!
Breakfast made and eaten. Need to shower, dress and brave the outside world! I'm going to go to the village shop and see how bad it really is out there, then get the snow off the car (and possibly the drive).
irie - I had grommets, but it was about 35 years ago so I'm afraid I can't remember anything about it. My hearing has been 100% ever since - the only problem has been that I was unaware of it, so assumed that I had intact eardrums when asked about 5 years ago, and was told off by the GP for getting it wrong! Apparently I was also supposed to know about the pyelogram at the age of 6 which I had also forgotten, and had therefore [STRIKE]neglected [/STRIKE]been unable to tell the blood service about
