Kiwi - think I'll do my HHG later too. What's the temp at your place?? I'm picking 29 here - will see what the TV says tonight LOL.
It says 29.5 degrees on my bedroom clock and I have had the curtains and blinds closed, two big fans going, with only windows open on the shadier rooms. I couldn't say how warm the kitchen is, I have the oven on with lemon meringue baking. Weather man will say 24. :rotfl:
ETA: Metservice says it's 27 in Auckland and 28 tomorrow, so you can add about 5 degrees to that for the real temperature. Shame it doesn't seem to work the same in the winter.Mortgage

They say we've got 27 today and 33 tomorrow!!!
Right, I've been out and bought a soaker hose, some lettuce plants, cascading lobelia plants, insect spray dispenser, carrot seeds and pineapple lumps . . . don't know how they got there . . . so I'm off for my HHG right nowIf there is to be any peace, it will come through being, not having - Henry MillerM.A.C.A.W Member . . Hope you've managed to get back to sleep, Sarah.
I see the images of snow and wish I was where you are!!! LOL
HHG is completed. Got soak hose going, planted lettuce, carrot seeds and lobelia. Dead headed some of my penstemons. Have tomatoes to pick soon, and will put them in the freezer until I have more time to make something with themIf there is to be any peace, it will come through being, not having - Henry MillerM.A.C.A.W Member . . Night, night Sarah
DeniseNZ If you plant the Pineapple Lumps, you never know you might grow Pineapples?Shame we can't actually grow them, in the UK we used to cut the tops off of Pineapples and leave them in water til they formed roots. Can't do that here, it took me ages to figure out why the pineapples were sold without the tops on.
I did 2 x HHG and got OH to do half hour too. Still it's just a drop in the ocean and one hour's frantic weed pulling gets us nowhere. They grow so fast and I don't think we're making much impression. Will have another go tomorrow.Mortgage

Morning All
You lot did some talking yesterday - it's taken ages for me to catch up and now I can't remember anything!
Mudbath - pleased to hear you dad's appointment went well.
Kids are coming home about 10 - I got up at 5 and all I've done so far is caught up on here! Wondering about going to have another lie down now though - I got up to dose myself up again as I'd got a banging head.
Hugs to all

Morning everyone
Welcome Domino Sue and Weezl
Mudders - that's tragic about the alcohol - Greenbee's strategy I think is a good one! I shall keep checking just to see'f I'm still OK with it...
Rach - hope the dinner goes well tonight
Lil-me - enjoy your night out!
Gryfon, you're doing well
Denise and Kiwi - sending you nice frozen ice lollies to keep you cool - and what's the problem with growing pineapples?
Greenbee - best of luck with the driving tonight.
Ended up going to bed ridiculously early for a Friday night (about 9.30pm!). I was suddenly really, really pooped. I think the stress of the drive home took more out of me than I realised. My clutch knee is aching quite badly this morning. Neither of them have recovered properly from all that up and down with the tiling last weekend yet.
Today, I'm determined to get at least one star from the lists! My personal tasks also include:- Email agent
- Update website
- Shopping
- Accounts
- Finish Kick plates
