Very icy here - DS 13yo has gone for a 14mile walk on the Wolds with Scouts    They're planning to run as much as they can - this is their last year as Scouts, so they want a good finishing time :j Hope they don't finish up like this :snow_laug :snow_grin :snow_laug :snow_grin
DH has taken DD to swim club, so I'm off to do the ironing, then back on here with a cup of coffee.

Morning all
Well I'm not nearly as stiff as I expected to be, apart from my hands and wrists.
We had more snow over night so very glad meeting was canceled. I spoke to a former colleague last night and was so glad I don't have to do the drive to work any more.
triker - take it easy. You need time to recover properly
Gryfon - that is an impressive list. You did do well :T
Brekkie finished. Off for a shower and then really need to get to nearest shop for essentials.0 -
Don't you just hate it when you clean a window and there's a mark that you can't work out whether it's inside or outside and you have to keep nipping in and out and in and out?
V. cold and icy out there..I am the leading lady in the movie of my life

Morning all
No more snow here, in fact I think it is melting just in time for more on Monday :rotfl: Had a lazy morning so far, kids sat on our bed with brekkie and TV on. They have just watched blast lab and are now onto the Superhero prog. I am going to get dressed and clear the other half of the drive while it is easier to do, then at least we won't break any limbs getting in and out of the car or house!
Gryfon wow that is some list you have completed there. Stop giving yourself a hard time you have done brilliantly. I on the other hand need to get my backside in gear. I know it's small steps and believe me 5 min bites are the way to go here at times as well.
Anyway onwards and will start off by getting dressed!Official Mascot and Chief Cheerleader for the 'Mortgage Free in Three' Gang0 -
Hi everyone.
Need to pop in here this weekend. I've suddenly got "aaaaahhhhh i go back to work next month, and the house is a pit that needs some serious sorting" feelings going on, and i know this is the place to get me through it. I have basically just sat on my bum for all of January, so now i need to get started. It suddenly dawned on me that when Sam starts nursery i have 7 days of him being there before work starts, and i don't want to spend all of it cleaning, i.e. wouldn't it be nice to do something good with the time.
I've used this motivation a bit this week, but progress is too slow when 2 little pairs of hands undo it all and Charlie's favourite game seems to be moving things from one room to the other at the minute, although he is getting better at picking stuff up at the end.
Right, i've done:- hoover LR, DR and kitchen
- clean dining room table and chairs thoroughly (took a knife to it to remove dried on crud - gross)
- sorted through my filing cabinet, and have been gradually working my way through the shredding this week, slow as it keeps jamming on me
- started sorting through the toys to send some more to the charidee shop
- done several loads of washing,
- made a V day card for DH
- watered my poor neglected plants, and dusted off the leaves.
- planted up 30 sprouted butternut squash seeds
Target today:- clean sink and draining board
- wash a load of bibs
- wash a load of dark clothes
- wash up manky grill pan from yesterday
- clean kitchen benches.
Have a good one folks, i'll try to read some of the thread tonight when the babies are sleeping.

Went back to bed but then got up again as I couldn't stop coughing and I was better out of bed. Just been looking at 2 hotels in Ibiza as we're going to one or the other in May - Hotel El Greco and Club Portinatx - anyone been to either of them?
Need to go to the PO to send off for the passports and then go and get a bit of food - DH seems to think we need loads because the fridge is empty (although the freezer is full) and I think we just need a few things so we'll see!NST #10 Steps 7K 2/30 10K 2/12 5 a day 3/30 NSD 0/20
