Why not buy milk and bread communally? Don't you do that anyway with cleaning stuff, loo roll etc?0

Just tell her about it. Let her know how you feel gently. Then make it hard for her to eat your stuff. Try and get a mini fridge, check one of those recycling sites. You are 48% tight

I've house shared for years (thankfully not any more) and the way I used to approach it was to get a small fridge freezer for my room and keep everything in there, even the dry stuff. There was also a time when I kept all my pans and other kitchen stuff in a box under my bed because I was so sick and tired of having to wash something before using it. I also kept all my washing powder, cleaning products and personal hygine products in my room. It maybe seems a bit extreme BUT it was my solution to house sharing when I lived in a house of people who were light fingered with food and slow to put their hand in their pocket for other household things. I think getting organised helped so that my room wasn't overtaken by this stuff!
Good luck*wonders when they will make dressing gowns acceptable day wear?*No new toiletries challenge - use up the stash first!NSD Jan 2/150 -
What i would do is use green food coloring in milk, sauces etc.
. It should put your housemates off your food and just makes cereal look ace when the milk is green lol!

I had the same problem - we had a shared house once with 5 girls...nightmare [even if one WAS the local beauty queen and knew ALL the local male tottie but I digress].
I bought a small fridge and kept it in my room. Problem solved.
I did used to nick Beauty Queen's Neutrogena shampoo though - sorry for lying at the time if you are reading this now! LOL. It was good stuff. Should have kept it in your room!0 -

I used to do this at my first year at uni!! Also eye drops in milk etc are an excellent laxative but be careful not to drink it yourself .....
I used to dip one particularly annoying flatmates toothbrush in the loo when she was particularly unreasonable too - she never knew but it helped me to smile sweetly when she or her friends (who lived with us near enough) were being pain. Please note she was an absolute pain in the !!!!! and this was the final solution, ive never felt that strongly about anyone since.

this would work with reasonable people; but these wont contribute to much willingly and the whole idea of having to pay towards stuff they use seems to be a alien concept - you honestly wouldnt know I was talking about girls in their late 20's and early 30's would you?!?!
They messed up the house on saturday and except for what bits I did (tidied wine glasses away, tidied lounge which all had nothing to do with me) they havent lifted a finger. The bin needs emptying; will it get done No the cleaner will do it (as she does every week), will they wipe the top down of the sauce spilled or put the several wine bottles in the bin/recycling - No, of course not!!
