Firstly merri-drake, hope you are feeling better (don’t know how I missed that one?!) :grouphug:
Well done to spam.jam, sadsadjenjen, kika, ritepetite and any others who have ‘lost’ this week (sorry if I missed anyone out). :T
A good tip that I found that helps me before eating is an old one of drinking a glass of water before a meal. I tried it last night and it worked. Also try and bulk your meals out with as much veg or salad as possible. I’m finding that not only is food in our house lasting longer after I have cooked it, but it also helps control portion size also and stops me overloading my plate.
I was bored a few weeks back and was messing around with Google and was surprised about exactly how much a portion of something is, for example, a baked potato it said should not be bigger than your mouse. I was used to eating huge JP’s lol!
IWantToBeFree how did your WI go?
Someone give me a kick up the jacksy to get my unmotivated a$$ to the gym tonight. :wall:0 -
2lb on for me:rolleyes: well done to all those who lost this week:T :T :T :T :T0

First weigh in today, lost 5lb! Overjoyed!
Obviously I won't keep 5lb a week up, especially as I will be having 25 points this coming week but I am hoping to combine that with more exercise (I have been a bit lethargic this week) so that I can make head way into my obesity!0 -
wow well done iwanttobefree thats a really good loss.
my weigh in tonight as well and i lost another 1 and a half pounds wich im thrilled about, also set my gold target tonight as well. i was told i could get it at 10st 1lb but thats the very top of my weight range so i decided to go all in and straight for 9st 7lb, im excited though as that gives me freedom to eat junk occasionaly but not overdo it wereas 10st 1 felt restricted as if i ever had a bad day id be overweight again.
well done everyine hope everyone has a good week this weekback to comping in 2017, fingers crossed :beer:0 -
Hi All
Havn't been around much this week as it has been half term so been busy out and about. That said I have not managed to lose any weight even though I went to a free abs attack session at my local swimming center.:o
Must do better next week:T:hello:SadSadJenJen

Hi all
sadsadjenjen, don't be disappointed you didn't lose any weight but you didnt put any on either:T, which in light of the kids being off all week is good. Also don't forget exercise makes you lose inches not pounds. good luck for next week.0 -

I'm hoping for a 4 pound loss this week, so that would take my total up to 1 stone lost in 1 month! I'm going to be ultra strict this week, here's hoping I can achieve my target
I did it!!!!!!!!!!!!! :j
4 pound loss baby, oh yesssssssssss
PS Well done to everyone else who has 'lost' and for those who haven't, fingers crossed for next week0 -

Well done on your 4 pound loss - what a great achievment! :T
I stayed the same this week :rolleyes:0 -
So I think I lost 2lbs last week- scale says so but I am a bit uncertain at this early stage as to whether its just a hormonal blip- but I live in hope- and it has motivated me to carry on- so I'll take it.
What has been a wondrous thing for me is how forcing myself (and I do mean forcing myself- been 23 years since I last used to have regular brekkie!!) to have breakfast has regulated my eating!! I have some- then no need to grab chocco bar mid morning as not starving, then hungry enough to make a nice lunch- but not so ravenous I chhose to lunch on a whole thing of pringles and another choc bar, and then hungry for Dinner- then not hungry again till breakfast and just don't think of food. So simple- who the hell knew that all the experts and godammit, me mother, were right?? not me- thats for sure!!
Bit of a me me me post tonight as just wanted to 'check in' before going to bed-(9.45- wow I'm so rock'n'roll-NOT)- but tomoz will have a thorough read and see how you are all getting on- good I hope,
outta here- my lovely bed is calling me- but to quote the fabulous Arnie 'I'll be back' x x x
Well... it's been a while but I am indeed back!! I have quoted myself to highlight how I spectacularly did not take my own advice and fell off the chocolate wagon big style.
I blame the hubby really:rolleyes: ... he bought me a lovely box of Lily O briens chocs for Valantines day- which I accidently fell on face first- this then led to a downward spiral of nutella for breakfast:eek: followed by days of eating carp- not good!!!
Upshot is I am back where I started (and bloody grateful not to have put on 3 stone;) !!) 12 stone - but this week I am gonna dust myself down, wipe the choccy smuges off my face and start agin!! And am gonna follow my own advice and get back into a more sensible breakfast this week:p and hope to work to the winning formula!!
Note to self- ask son's et al to get me anything other than chocs for Mum's day- don't want to shame myself again:rotfl:
hope you all are doing better- (could you be doing worse???!!)0
