afternoon all,
We have been out walking all day, the later part of which was in the snow, it was lovely, it was ok as long as we kept moving, but when we stopped for a sandwich and a coffee, , we nearly froze, walked about 9 miles today, so little dog is curled up in her bed fast asleep.
I am not doing the roast pork today, as we got in too late to start cooking it, we will have it tomorrow instead, tonight we are having bacon egg chips and beans.
I have just put some photos of the snow on my FB page, its seems to be stopping a bit now, but they have said we will get more later. :j
Silver, you are a very patient lady, she would have been shown the door here.
Beemuzed, sorry to hear your ds in back in hospital, hope all goes well.
Off to have a hot bath, take care all xx0 -
((((hugs)))) to worried folks. Sorry that there is so much going on.
Cold here and about to close curtains.
Tea is on - roast beef and veg with Aunt B's yorkies. Beef doesn't look like it will be great. Bought it a while ago at MrM and took it out of the freezer yesterday. It is a bit insipid looking - anaemic :rotfl:
Ok, off to sort out the dried washing. DH is being a sweetie and ironing stuff to last us the week. Have DSS staying - don;t know for how long - and he is 14 and goes to a school on the way to his dad's work so will be an early start.
Have a lovely evening all - am going to watch Lark Rise tonight as I am addicted

Hi All
havent read thread yet but will do so after dinner with a glass of wine and at a leisurely pace instead of in a rush - which i am in now
have been away from home for work since last monday - now have three days off and am unsure how im going to fit it all in
today i have fed animals and birds, shopped at mr t, cleaned whole house, made fairy cakes and a crumble, done two loads of washing, walked dog, and a chicken ( and taters) is now roasting with the last sprouts and carrots from the garden simmering away on the hob
am doing baked appleas for pud - mr t didnt have any mincemeat which i would usually stuff them with so ive soaked some mixed fruit in port, brandy and liquid honey and used that instead. smells good so far.
snow fell quite heavily here about two hours ago - settled - then sun came out but i can just see a few flakes starting to fall again - i hope it isnt too bad a snowfall tonight as i have a funeral including burial to attend tomorrow
missed you all this week when i was being very NON os living in a hotel
will pop back later but till then hugs and prayers going out to you if you need them0 -
Hi Guys!
Happy Birthday N9eav:beer:
WM has been on with a white wash as we were running out of knickers and tea-towels:D
Saw mum yesterday and said that we were up that way and whether she thought family member would like a visit....she said yes but is starting a new treatment possibly this week so may have to visit at hospital and that was it....I changed the subject and didnt talk about it again:j :j :j
Just had an email stating that a healthy amount has been paid into my bank account from Quidco.
Did a toad in hole for dinner as I forgot to get the chicken out. Not been able to eat much but managed some. Will get chicken out for tomorrow:rolleyes: and have a roast then as we just had mash and veg with it today.
Have nurse in the morning and an early hospital appointment. Must remember to ask for a new sharps box and needles. If I can, we really need to pop to Sainsburys. I have put in all the food I need at mysupermarket and Mr S is coming up at £34 which is £8 cheaper than the other 4so will go there as I find their fruit and veg last very very well.
Set up an account with the compnay in Martins email with the DVD's and games etc and have made £17 for 5 items which is good.
Have a parents evening on Wednesday regarding DD's options. Although she really wants to work with animals, she has now said about Architecture as there is a definite market and she could always volunteer or work with animals but still have a good qualification. She doesnt realise but Greenwich Uni does a BA Hons in Architecture, so its right on our doorstep. I really want her to be happy with her choices, so she must make her own decisions regarding this. I knwo there is a worlwide shortage of women Architects, so she could work anywhere. Maybe she could design Zoos:D
Anyway, I am rambling.
(((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((smokey)))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))
Hugs to all.

Loads of huuuuuuuuuuuugs to anybody who needs one.
I work in the gym that's on campus at my uni and I consider myself to be very lucky as most of the people who work out there are very polite, albeit messy!, and I've even made a few good friends through working there....
But every so often I come across a right d***head who thinks that because he's twice the size of me can shout and swear at me and think it will intimidate me. Today, somebody tried to come in after last entry and after I politely explained the last entry policy he went off on one. This guy - who I reckon is about 18 stone, so literally double my size - started completely going off on one, calling me all the names under the sun, telling me I was taking the p**s, to the point where I had to call campus security because he refused to leave.
Now, I'm not a jobsworth, but I don't get paid to stay later than my shift ends so I'm really fussy about this rule because otherwise people take the mickey and I get out 20 minutes late. This guy was soooooo rude, and he even said it was because the traffic was really bad and he'd been quicker if he walked because he only lived down the road! I don't understand how people get brought up so they think they can talk to people like that!
Rant over
On the plus side, because I was in work all day yesterday and today I've had a NSW :j:T:A2019 Aim: Save £10,000

what a day and a half!
woke up at 6am, and thought'oh another half an hour...! then realised it was Sunday and I had a whole day off before I'm back at work. Phoned OH who is in Australia, whilst chatting , little kitten started going a bit crazy, running around like a daft thing.
he won't use litter tray unless it's clean, so while I was cleaning it he sat in dog basket. I lifted him into his tray & he had scoots....just in time thought I....hahaha!
DD2 comes down for b'fast and says'I smell poo'
whilst sweeping kitchen floor, I too could smell it but it wasn't from litter tray........on closer inspection he had scooted all over dog bed. Hope no-ones eating their tea!
Dog had some on her thigh, so trying to scrub her, she didn't want scrubbed so was shouted at as I was ever so slightly frazzled by now, so she peed in hall, got shouted at, peed, got shouted at & peeeeeeeeed for Scotland. Does it end there? Course not!
whilst washing dog bed, blankets and floors, DD1 goes for shower, she comes out, kitten goes in for a poo! runny of course..........oh my!
On the plus side, my floors are sparkling, dog's got a nice clean bed and the shower is shiny and the kitten is sleeping like a wee ball of fluff at the moment!
took my children out for lunch, went to a park, dog had a good run and kids had a good play!
Also got 2 loads of washing dried outside and it's all ironed too.
Looking forward to a night in front of telly! I think I deserve it!0 -
Evening All
  Happy Birthday N9eav:beer:  Hope youve had a great day.
Had a lovely day in London, started off in Covent Garden then walked down to Leicester Square and Chinatown. Had a very nice lunch in our favourite Chinese and then watched all the entertainment there and in Trafalgar Square. We wrapped up really warm but boy was it cold! It was the windchill factor - snow flurries kept coming.
Its now white outside, think when I wake up will be deep if the weather forcast is right.
Nice and cosy now, just about to make corned beef sandwiches for tea. Then an early night I think.

OH took to his bed just after we got back from our walk and stayed there until 3.30pm.....I told him he if didn't want his supper to let me know before I started cooking, however he was ok and had just had pork with roasties, roast parsnip cauli and broc, followed with banana spilt.
OH hates the skin and fat on pork, will not eat crackling, so I took the skin and fat off the chops and then left it in the remoska whilst we had our supper, result, lovely pork scratchings which I have just eaten, good job I do not have to go for a cholesterol test tomorrow!!!!
I was hoping for a nap this afternoon, but did not get one, I could do with one now, but if I do sleep I will noyt sleep tonight, so better get my knitting out its LRTC tonight, better not sleep through that!!
We had snow this afternoon and it has settled especially on the grass verge opposite us. I wonder if we will get up to deep snow tomorrow......won't matter, its cleaning morning and I will not be going out until after lunch anyway.....Was 13st 8 lbs,Now 12st 11 Lost 10 1/4lbs since I started on my diet.0 -
Hi All,
Very late posting today as it's been a hectic one. Have dd's bf staying for the weekend - I know I said he couldn't but he'd be on the streets otherwise its a long story - so I've had 4 kids all wkend. Decided that cooking, cleaning & washing for 6 of us is hard work!!
It must be the day for sicky/pooing animals - just as I was serving the gravy onto everyones plate one of the dogs decided to be sick next to the table, on the back door mat! I hastily cleaned it up before they all went off their dinners, bleached the floor & put the mat outside in the garden. I'll deal with it later when I have some more energy.
Dh working outside today he'll be frozen when he gets back home. Got his beef casserole, mash, yorkies & veg all ready on a plate to microwave for him to warm him up a bit! Its very very cold here with snow flurries on and off but no sticking snow yet.
Have a good evening I'm going to have half an hour on here then have a bath & watch Ice Road Truckers - I'm addicted to it LOL!!
(((((((((((hugs)))))))))))) to all who need one. Diva I'm still offering up prayers for Tristan.
