Ta zippychick! I feel like such a numpty now! Chucked away a perfectly good pack of open sausages because I was worried that they had been in the freezer longer than the supposed 'safe month' that they always say on the packets. Absolutely - it's all about learning isn't it? SOciety and consumerism has us so petrified about dates on products and guidelines - but really, I personally think a log of it is pure rubbish

I had a duck in the freezer from Christmas 2010 that I'd forgotten about.It was scoffed Christmas 2011 with no ill effects to me or anyone else who ate it.0
