You are doing so incredibley well!! £310 in July will really get you on your way!!
Hey YukkiBear it's nice that we all seem to be saving and planning for weddings too.
It's so nice when you actually see your savings grown, not that I can talk as I don't seem to have any at the moment!!! But I have bought my dress and the suits and paid the deposit on the wedding.
Thanks Missymoo. How was the camping trip?Mortgage: £59709.77 (26/08/17) Now £58683.93 MFD Nov 2033Current OP Savings £3952.68.

Another thing is to go to the wedding fayres and have a look to see at what's on offer, you often find someone who does handmade cards who you can borrow ideas from.
We are going to a wedding fayre in September. I will check out the cards there is get some ideas. By the way where is the best place to get bits and pieces for the cards? I was thinking ebay. I will need to make about 30 day invites and 20 evening invites. I was thinking a budget of £50. Is this reasonable? Thanks for the help.Mortgage: £59709.77 (26/08/17) Now £58683.93 MFD Nov 2033Current OP Savings £3952.68.

I woud go for ebay once you know what you're looking for. It'll be cheaper than a arts and crafts shop0

Hey DC, camping was wonderful, really hot, but my OH is going back off shore tomorrow, which is still quite hard!
I definitely agree with YukkiBear, ebay is much better than craft shops. My sister made her own invites and got a lot of her stuff from confetti, but it ended up being almost as expensive as to buy them made!! Don't forget to look out for special deals on card and envelopes, sometimes stationery box has deals etc.
How did your shopping trip go? Did you actually manage to find anything as you actually had some money saved up to spend?0

I didn't actually get any shopping done on Saturday but I am going this Saturday afternoon. I will keep an eye out for some cheap card and envelopes. If you miss your OH too much when he goes off shore you can always come on here for a chat.Mortgage: £59709.77 (26/08/17) Now £58683.93 MFD Nov 2033Current OP Savings £3952.68.

            Morning everyone
I have transferred £162.50 into the wedding fund this morning. So I am well on my way to saving £310 this month. I calculated my gas and electricity use for last month and they came in £34 under budget which suprised me as our TV and laptop is on most off the day.Mortgage: £59709.77 (26/08/17) Now £58683.93 MFD Nov 2033Current OP Savings £3952.68.

Wow well done it's the first of the month and you're wedding total is shooting up really well. Mine hasn't changed for months lol, well it might get a few pence interest today if I'm lucky lol.0

i'd say you could easily get them done for that money - mine were fancier than they should have been and cost less than £1 each (ok i'm obsessed with figuring out how much things cost/are) and they certainly looked like they would have cost £4 - £5 each.0

Another £3.34 added to the wedding fund today £3 saved from car parking and 34p interest.
I have been having second thoughts tonight about having an evening party at the wedding. Both families are not party people and I think the party could be a waste of money. I have never seen any of my family dancing and I am worried the dance floor would be empty. What do you guys think? Shoud I forget about the party are just invite some more people to the wedding reception?Mortgage: £59709.77 (26/08/17) Now £58683.93 MFD Nov 2033Current OP Savings £3952.68.

you dont have to have a party hun, it's your day afterall. You could always have a late sit down meal, as they always go on for hours, and you could have music playing after dessert when you could have your first dance, if you wanted, then you could cut the cake give everyone a bit and say everyone can go through to the bar if they wanted etc. Instead of having a reception?? Just a thought sweetie.
Well done paying off bits and pieces, I think I might have to take a leaf out of your book, paying of bits and pieces a day on things you've saved is a really good idea, as it's money you wont miss.0
