I've just read your thread all the way through and you are doing so exceptionally well, especially with your payment a day, you are real inspiration. I'm definitely going to take a leaf out of your book, I may even start my own diary!!!
I'm trying to think of ways for you to save money on the wedding. For my dads wedding we made all of the button holes, they were suprisingly easy, and the bouquets were just tesco finest roses all tied together with ribbon, it was very sort of relaxed and rustic.
My step mum did her own hair and make up, and they made all of their invitations. If I think of any more I'll let you know.
 Keep smiling

aww think we crossed posts!! That's me taking over your thread again!!! lol
wow 250 people that's an awful lot!!! New Zealand lucky you, I thought we were pushing the boat out with the Maldives.
And I know what you mean about shopping, you always see things you want when you haven't got any money!!! And when you have got some money it's like all the good clothes disappear!!! V strange.
Well I'm away camping all weekend, so I wont be around to chat, but will be back on Tuesday to make sure you are keeping on the straight and narrow!!!

I have been making a payment a day most days but I havn't been posting on the thread. slaps wrist.
I am not a very crafty or arty person but I am going to attemp to make some invitations. I have been looking at sarahs flowers on the internet and there is some very nice flowers which are not too expensive. You never know I may try and make some buttons holes for the men but I think I will buy the bouquets from somewhere.Mortgage: £59709.77 (26/08/17) Now £58683.93 MFD Nov 2033Current OP Savings £3952.68.

I have made another payment to the car loan. So the total balance on all loans is less than £4000. All these loans will be paid by November 2010.
The challenge for July is to save £310 which is £10 per day. So by the end of July I would like to see £1686 sitting in the wedding fund. Challenge 2 is to have £2000 in the wedding fund by the end of August.

Hi DC, have seen your totals changed over the weekend, well done. I think invitations could be pretty simple to make, they don't need to be fancy. Mine wont be anyway lol. You could even use a photo of you and your OH.
I really want to get back into the planning of my wedding again, I think something fun and exciting would help the mundane of paying off the debt.
Good luck with the £310 in July, I want to achieve that too but June only saw £228, but still better than what I had at the end of May.0

I am just back from seeing The Hangover. It was quite good and funny in places. Cinema is getting expensive though £6 for an adult and then drinks and popcorn. I am glad I had a 2 for 1 voucher. Total cost was £11.50 all budgeted for.
I am definately going to try and make the invitations. One things for sure that will not be anything fancy as I am not a very arty person. I am going to see another venue on Saturday. I hope it is better than the first one.Mortgage: £59709.77 (26/08/17) Now £58683.93 MFD Nov 2033Current OP Savings £3952.68.

            Hey DC
You are doing so incredibley well!! £310 in July will really get you on your way!!
Hey YukkiBear it's nice that we all seem to be saving and planning for weddings too.
It's so nice when you actually see your savings grown, not that I can talk as I don't seem to have any at the moment!!! But I have bought my dress and the suits and paid the deposit on the wedding.0

don't worry DC you can make some beautiful and simple invites that won't cost the earth, the trick is to get things straight and if you stick sheets of paper down make sure they don't bubble etc. It will make sense when you start them, feel free to pm me if you want a chat through about them. Another thing is to go to the wedding fayres and have a look to see at what's on offer, you often find someone who does handmade cards who you can borrow ideas from.0

I'll second that LT. I have been browsing online at some ideas, and when explained, some of them look lovely and appear simple. I am going to try some when I get into wedding mode.0
