Opinions please - my 20wk scan is in 3 weeks and I've got a dilema about finding out the flavour. We didn't with DD, neither of us wanted to, but this time OH wants to know.

He says it doesn't mean a lot to him to find out (if he did I would be tempted to say yes as a gift, like Sami-Bee did with Chris) but thinks we should find out on a practical level. Mainly he's worried that we would both like another girl and perhaps need some time to adjust if we're going to have a boy. Finding out would also mean we could do some Ebaying of pink stuff.

If we did find out we'd not tell anyone that we know - wouldn't want to wreck the surprise. I'd have to say something here though.

I'm just worried that finding out will spoil the surprise and that we will choose a name and it will feel like baby has arrived before he/she actually does. HELP!

When we had our 20 week scan, i didn't want to know but OH did. I've got a boy and a girl already - so i didn't matter to me but I think OH wanted a boy (his first). And his mother wanted to know too (her first).

I eventually decided to find out, and only me, he and his mother  were allowed to know. And, we've all done really well - none of us have managed to slip up to anyone (except on here but you lot aren't real!). I'm glad we found out because its given OH the next 20 weeks to get used to the idea of a girl!

Only downside, his mother keeps appearing with pink stuff - which i'm having to hide around the house! And we still haven't agreed on a name - although we had a boy one before 20w!

(Can't help thinking it would be quite funny if it turned out to be a boy after all - is that just me being wicked!)

    Just a quick question ladies......
Do you think this is an ok colour pram for a boy?
    http://www.mamasandpapas.co.uk/product-ziko-herbie-hot-n-bothered-/276510901/type-i/

They've got a lovely green colour which I like but none in stock. I won't know whether I'm having a boy or girl till next week, but stock is very limited on these prams.

    What do you think?
Yeah, I had a red M&p pulse stroller with DS, i loved it!

I was just thinking the other day, I wonder if SB used all her huggies or if she has needed to swap them;) so did you use them all?

    :rotfl:Er, no!

I swapped twelve (4 packs on 3 occassions) 'blaming' DH for buying the wrong size! :o:p. But I did have quite a few more packs than the Boots 10! ;)

I even had a few packs of Pampers  but don't tell Mr Huggy! :D

Question for you all.. When you feel the baby moving for the first time, where abouts did you feel it? Like how far up/down, close to your belly button or not, etc etc?

I'm 16+1 now and a bit bored of not feeling anything :( Sometimes I feel something but then I work out it was probably just my tea going down or something! I've heard thuds when using the doppler and even the midwife pointed out that the thuds she heard were kicks so I'm not worried that it's not doing it - just fed up of not being able to feel it myself :(

I'm having a bit of a bored day.. The excitement of everything being fine has passed, I'm not feeling nervous anymore yet it feels too early to be buying anything big so I'm trying not to get drawn into that too much yet. I want something new to get excited about! :o

Finally know my due date after a long wait. My 1st scan this morning, all Ok. They put me at 19 weeks 3 days. So relieved the scan is done now. :)

JVIC - Huge congrats I have been keeping an eye out for you to see if you'd updated your date. Although I can't believe you've only just had your first scan! Are you at the heath?
You laugh because I'm different - I laugh because you're all the same

I have to say 2nd time round pregnancy is generally just laborious so knowing we're getting a surprise in the end has made it much more exciting!! having had one of each scenario I'd deffo advice going for a surprise
Glad it's not just me that's finding it a lot more wearing the 2nd time round... I remember having no energy with Aimee but not until the last week or two... Certainly not 25 weeks!
A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...

Elle, my first few kicks were down towards the bottom on the left... But I felt baby rolling over more than kicks to start with, and a rolling baby is hard to describe lol... Gets more stomach churning the bigger they get...

Same here, i think it's probably because we already have one so dont get as muich chance to relax as we did when we were childless!
I can barely get out of bed these days (29 weeks) let alone doing all the things i was doing in me last pregnancy!

:rotfl:yep I'm finding it most boring and tiring! I wasn't sure if maybe it was coz last time I was working full time so was too busy to notice it  only thing that has been better this time is feeling it move so much sooner although I'm starting to feel like I'm on a roller coaster permanently _pale_

Elle - i didn't feel my DS for the first time til just after my 20w scan - I remember getting back into work after the scan, and getting a really strong movement in my tummy - it knocked me sick!!

I probably felt my second and this one a little earlier, like fluttery butterfly tummy. But only because i knew what it felt like! Now i've permenantly got a bum stuck in my ribs and its driving me mad!
