I remembered what I was going to say earlier... Everyone was talking about adverts they hate... Mine is the virgin one with Iggy Pop's manky chest on it... Who wants to see an aged rock star with no clothes and a david dickinson tan all over the TV?! Pre watershed too!

Opinions please - my 20wk scan is in 3 weeks and I've got a dilema about finding out the flavour. We didn't with DD, neither of us wanted to, but this time OH wants to know.

He says it doesn't mean a lot to him to find out (if he did I would be tempted to say yes as a gift, like Sami-Bee did with Chris) but thinks we should find out on a practical level. Mainly he's worried that we would both like another girl and perhaps need some time to adjust if we're going to have a boy. Finding out would also mean we could do some Ebaying of pink stuff.

If we did find out we'd not tell anyone that we know - wouldn't want to wreck the surprise. I'd have to say something here though.

I'm just worried that finding out will spoil the surprise and that we will choose a name and it will feel like baby has arrived before he/she actually does. HELP!

Iggy Pop?! I just thought it was a random old wrinkly guy! Agree though, not nice.

Anyone else seen the small oriental boy with a dildo (yes, dildo) in the new Ka ad? OH makes me watch it really closely every time to see if we can figure out what it is. Conclusion - dildo:eek:

    Hi all..

Snow was a huge disappointment this morning but on the bright side I didn't have to get up uber early to go in with OH. It's been trying to snow all day but never got anywhere :(

Had a really busy day at work - seemed to have a constant stream of visitors all day. I think it might be because my office is always toasty and the guys were coming in to see me and get warm instead of being stuck in a freezing factory!

Sami, you can get Milka chocolate in Tesco too! :D

Had promised OH a cosy night in tonight cos he was due to be a witness in court tomorrow - top witness to a theft from site almost 11 months ago. Case has now been delayed for the third time so he's breathing a sigh of relief. Think I might treat him to a nice evening anyway.. he deserves it - has cleaned the kitchen since we got in :)

I shall look out for the dildo lu!

As for finding out the flavour, my hubby is desperate to but I don't want to know purely because I don't want to ruin the surprise... And sometimes the way everyone goes on it's like you need everything in place before the baby appears.... But you really don't... We have some white babygros to bring it home in and I'll be happy to take our new baby shopping for the appropriate colour clothes...

But then we don't mind if we have a boy r a girl so won't really need to get our heads around it before it arrives...

ok even worse if you like Futurama like me, its sponsored by swiftcover and who do they use to do the thing at the start/end of all the adverts?...iggy saggy old man boobs pop!

Lu - it was hubbys gift to me 1st time round to find out so I returned the favour by letting this one be a secret :D i know its more "practical" to find out but where is the fun in that?!?! I have to say 2nd time round pregnancy is generally just laborious so knowing we're getting a surprise in the end has made it much more exciting!! having had one of each scenario I'd deffo advice going for a surprise
