I'm always like that. You can meet loads of friends over the years but there will only be an odd one or two who will matter. You get a special bond with others with kids, it helps to share bringing them up cos it's damn hard, and fantastic!Too many children, too little time!!!0 -

Hi all
I'm having a bit of a nesting/organising frenzy this week. At the mo I'm going through my list of things I still need to get or stuff I already have that is elsewhere (you'd think I'd be more organised at nearly 38 weeks!) I have a lot of stuff still from DD1+2 anyways (washable nappies from birth to toddler, yay!) so mainly the things I need to actually buy are for the actual birth (home birth) and straight after.
I'm also panicking that we don't have enough baby clothes... I definitely remember changing DD1's sleepsuits sometimes three times a night if her nappy leaked or she did a bit of sick down her  and I no way have enough for this baby to have in use and to be washing at the same time!
I also need to buy presents from the new baby to DDs but not sure what to get...
:THave to say OH is being great - I am a bit of a sling fanatic and he is really up for babywearing. I hate using pushchairs, we do still have one from DD2 which is in storage at my parents as her dad used to use it but I just used to sling herSo I'm going to have a little lookie at some slings and justify buying a new one as my 'present' to baby LOL...
Also someone remind me continually - I need to get batteries for the camera, I need to get batteries for the camera...Dealing with my debts!Currently overpaying Virgin cc -balance Jan 2010 @ 1985.65Now @ 703.63

Hi all
I also need to buy presents from the new baby to DDs but not sure what to get...
.
I got some long sleeved t-shirts from ebay - really good quality and lovely seller.
DS Navy age 11 with 'I'm the big brother', DD Pink age 8 with 'I'm the big sister', and a little tiny 0-3 months for baby with 'i'm the little sister'. And a big sister necklace for DD too.
I'm so organised, i wrapped them all today and put them in my hospital bag!!:beer:0 -

The last time I heard from my "best friend" was over 3years ago, she came to see me after she had her dd. I lent her a whole bunch of things that I knew that she couldn't afford but that would make things a bit easier for her. DH drove her home, I sent a card when we moved house - not heard a thing sinceAt first, ok for a year or so I was really upset but then at least I knew where I stood *shrugs*
tbh I find it really hard to trust people (been burnt lots of times) so although there are some parents that I really look forward to chatting for at hometime I really have to push myself to make the effort, because other than our kids going to the same school I have nothing in common with them... lol now that I am confident enough to speak to some of them I am throwing myself into the fire by withdrawing the kids and moving them somewhere else at Easter  (because we aren't happy with the school) Apart from DH I don't have any friends - there are people that I like to spend time with - omg I sound so anti-socialall in all I have been pretty unlucky.
You are not alone, have a cry if you need it but come on here and tell us and you can have a big virtual hug x
I so need to sleep - we have to take the kids to a local castle for a project for dd1, we were going to take them on Sunday and make a day of it but the weather looks pants. So we need to go after swimming which will mean we only get a couple of hours there... It is freezing just now though - hope it warms up a bit the actual castle is closed until April but the gardens are open  I am hoping they have lots of leaflets and a coffee shop
Night x0
