Surely IT experience can be taken from one industry to the next. The IT guys we used to have in did conracts for lots of different companies. It's not something I know a lot about but even with the current situation I would assume that the IT systems still have to have the same maintainance whether they are busy or not. I would suggest agencies which is who we used last time. They are as desperate for fees as much as anyone and my OH had 3 fighting to get him a job. Then 2 fell out insisting they had found the final placement, he eventually took one he found himself.:rotfl:
he's much higher up than maintenance (sorry that sounds a bit snobby)
he earns close to £70k :shocked: always having meetings all over the place and video conferences all that fancy stuff :rotfl:
He's the guy that all IT consultants want to place (I used to work in IT recruitment the guys used to beg me for his cv) they just want the huge commission that would go with a placement like that :rolleyes: people keep telling me its the branch staff that will go first but I don't know, I'm just a worrier

He sound totally employable, just needs to start looking now. Once word's out that he is looking he will probably be head-hunted.
Wow, 70k, he's good. I was chuffed with OH's 50k+Too many children, too little time!!!0 -

I know :eek: but they spend it (as you'd expect) so if he didn't get something MIL's wage wouldn't touch their out goings unless they cut right back - although I'm not sure MIL knows the meaning of cutting back :rotfl:
I was chuffed with hubby's current £25k basicbut then he's much younger than his dad obv! I doubt he'll ever earn more than the £35k mark if he's lucky he's not academic at all and too shy to ever be a "big shot" not that I'm bothered I grew up with much less than we can provide for our LOs and had a happy life;)
the biggest impact on us is that FIL pays for us to go on holiday with them but that is a mega luxury to me, until I was 18 I'd only been on about 3 actual holidays - 1 in a tent, 2 a caravan0 -
If you asked my kids which holidays they liked best, we went a few times last year in anticipation of none this year, they would all say the caravan holidays. Not abroad but john fowler etc. They love the freedom, the clubs, swimming and most of all not too much travel. In half term we are off to Portsmouth for one night to see the historic dockyard with 5 and 8 year old. Extremely excited about seeing the ships.
OH wasn't very academic, nor a hotshot, but a damn loyal grafter who is very good at what he does, I'm very proud of him. (most of the time);)Too many children, too little time!!!0 -

I think I'm in love with half of the Vertbaudet catalogue.. *sigh*
Just got the mini version in the post with a £15 off when you spend £20 offer. So many nice pretty little dresses..
I wish 3rd March (next scan) would hurry up!! Please please please let the baby be a show off and we can find out (almost!) for sure..
It's strange.. Before I was pregnant, I always thought I would have / wanted a boy - I couldn't imagine myself being mother to a girl at all.. I'm not a pink girly type at all and the only little girl I know is a complete brat and demands to be dressed head to toe in pink at all times :eek: Now this time everyone seems convinced it's a girl and I'm only looking at girly stuff - keep glancing at the boys stuff and thinking "don't know why I'm looking at these cos I'm having a girl!"..ARGH!! I neeeeeeeeeeeeeeed to know NOW!! (obviously, I'll be happy either way - just getting more drawn to girly stuff at the minute
)

S.m. , as I have found out this week, some people are not who you thought they were. Why bother. Wait for antenatal classes and make some new friends with people you have something in common with. XXXToo many children, too little time!!!0
