  • AF - I left on Thursday ;):D

I had a beautiful huge bouquet of flowers, a collection amounting to nearly £200, a card and my assistant had made up a beautiful box full of 'essentials' (clothes and little shoes and socks etc) which had both hubby and I in tears on Thursday night, bless her!

AM - I have been getting the 'OMG you are massive' comments since I was about 25 weeks...now I am getting - 'I didn't think it was possible for you to get any bigger' I wish people would be more sensitive.

I am SO thirsty....have just had a pint of ribena and a RLT and I am still really dry. I started this pregnancy being constantly thirsty...looks like I am going to end it that way too.

    Welcome to the newbies :D

    Can't stand car trouble

My first car did 225,000 miles before it died, my next one was OK but mega heavy on the steering so my dad had it off me and got it impounded!!
My third car, Vauxhall Astra - bought for £500. 6 months later, got an oil leak (£300 to repair!!!) and needed whole new brake system (£300). Battery died so one way home from buying new battery, I nipped into Peugeot dealerhsip for a look and came out 2 hours later with a brand new 206!! They knocked off £500 for my Astra so got my money back!!!! :rotfl:

My last 2 cars (peugeot 206) have been bought from new - although the one I have now I bought in August 08, it was registered in March 08, dealer didn't sell 15 so had to buy them and then couldn't sell them for 3 months. So I got about £2,500 off the car as it was classed as second hand and it only had 5 miles on the clock. Don't think I could go back to an older car as I can't put up with the hassle.

Ours died at 203,210, which is pretty good! Hoping this one lasts as long.

Although I'm loving having a new car, it is so stressful. I'm terrified of the first scratch!

Right... someone explain to me why I feed two VERY good mousers and still I have just found signs of a mouse in the kitchen cupboard? Useless furballs lol
Hubbie been told he's being sent to the loft tonight to get the mousetraps out of storage for me - anything that dares nibble at my emergency rolo storage needs to go I'm afraid!

Unfortunately I cant get finance, or i would!
Dont think OH would get finance on a new car, maybe from an independant dealer but then the interest rates are rediculous.

About 5 weeks after getting my new 206, I scratched it really bad.

Our driveway is quite narrow and I used to put my wing mirrors in - wasn't concentrating on where I was going and scraped the back wheel arch against the concrete post at the end of the drive. Was devastated - cost me £150 to get repaired but you can't even see it now. I know leave my wing mirrors out - would rather scruff them!! :rotfl:

Would it not be worth another look esp. with interest rates going down? Or, can you just not get finance?

I had a passport deal on first car but would have had to have paid of £2,500 this May which I don't have so swapped it early and took out the standard HP finance. Works out at £140 per month for 5 years - suits me for now. Will probably change car in 3 years time when finances will hopefully have improved - althou thinking about it............... baby, 3 door hatchback. may need to change sooner rather than later

Tine, try ringing your local council, I had a mouse problem a couple of years ago, before the first cat and they came and put poison down for free... Although they used to do wasps for free and now charge... Always worth an ask though, and saves having to deal with bodies in traps...
A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...
Krystal is so smart and funny and wonderful I am struck dumb in awe in her presence.

Lol - the day after I picked up my new Honda Civic I took Hubby and DSS out for a spin...pulled back onto the drive and parked under the bay window...but just a little too close - managed to scratch my less than 24 hour old car on my less than 2 month old house (to me at least). Told hubby to take DSS in the house and just sat and cried that I had been so stupid!!
