You can take your whole of your annual leave before you start ML....we have to...no choice, or you loose it. Thats why im going early....Hoping to have the full year off but will really have to return to work otherwise we will only just exsist in the long term andnot be allowed any little treats....

I know they can automatically put you on ML if you're sick within 4 weeks of the EDD...not sure about taking your holidays in between but maybe you could take them now then go on sick, if that makes sense??

Yeah I'm trying to work it all out in my ickle head at the moment - this is not what I had planned at all and it's really thrown me :( And you're right I could take my full AL before hand... I can carry over a max of 5 days - but then I would have none left if I returned before the end of the year... although I could take unpaid leave... hmmmm

Think tonights task is going to be looking at just how harshly I can cut back our budget without us going without - I get 8 weeks full pay ML, then 12 weeks at 50% so that's *tots up in head* 20 weeks or roughly 5 months - if I then take my full annual leave and BH entitlement before I start ML then I should have at least 5 - 6 weeks at full pay on that.

I just don't know if I can get my head round the numbers :(

I'm trying to do it so me working self employed is an optional - not a necessary :( *sigh*

Sorry to bore everyone with my money niggles :( Just helps me to put it down on paper... so to speak :)

Ouch tiamai_d that sounds horrid... I feel like I've been sat doing nothing for months and then decided to run the london marathon really quickly. Gone home and had a bad nights sleep and woken up with my legs and lower back and hips totally ceased up and incredibly painful :( and I know it's gonna get worse too

Is it really wrong of me to wish that Roo arrives 4 weeks early?
    No! I'm the same :o
But DS was 3 weeks early.

MrsT im sure you will be able to cut down your variable costs quite a bit when your not working...obviously your priorities will stay the same but petrol/ food etc can prob be reduced quite a bit by meal planning etc when you have more time.

Sort yourself out a spreadsheet and see how it looks...im sure you'll manage more than you thought x

After dizzy spell this morning, just had another one when trying to get up. I'm fine sitting down, but go all heavy and weak feeling when I try and do anything. Annoying! I've got cleaning to be doing.

Edit, don't know if this has been posted before, but next time you feel massive, take a look at this:
