Quick question... when do you have to have told work by that you want to start your maternity? I'm sure I could probably look it up but I'm flucked after my 365mile zoom round for a 30 minute meeting *sigh*
Getting really fed up with work now so trying to work out how soon I can go on ML and actually afford to do so :rotfl:
MrsT...you can leave anytime from 29 weeks and i think you need to give your employers 4 weeks notice of when you want to start it xDS Anthony Steven 07.06.92DD Becky Emma 24.01.94DD Rose Grace Jean 12.05.090 -

We're having a loft conversion (at the moment - should be finished next month - but not decorating/ flooring etc, so MAY get it done before babe arrives (we're known for being slow at house improvements!)) to fit us all in
However, this adds to DH's stress levels - feels he needs to be 'caveman' and provide for everyone.
Can I be really really cheeky and ask how much your loft conversion was?
We need to get ours done to fit us all in too...
General question, am I a bad mum for giving my kids toasted cheese for dinner? with a packet of crisps on the side and a yogurt for afters?0 -
Thanks Angela
I'm gonna go do some maths in a bit and see how big the shortfall is gonna be  and how long we can sustain my ML before I'd have to go back and decide from there...

I have that feeling that my lady bits are going to fall out...
I hope this isn't the start of PSD (or pelvic girdle pain as they call it now). Had it mild in later staged with DS1, then a bit worse with DS2.

I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...My Fathers Daughter wrote: »Krystal is so smart and funny and wonderful I am struck dumb in awe in her presence.

Oh the pain is getting worse, I need DH home so I can jump in a bath. It is really sore! Feels like someone is ripping me open with a knife! Just shoving it in and rip all teh way up iyswim... not a pretty image. I'd say urine infection but I have been really good drinking loads, plus no discomfort when I pee. I need a bath!0

Hi all..
Scary moment on the way home - I managed to spin my car as I turned a corner so that I was back facing the road I'd just turned off! It started snowing at about 1pm and it's not stopped yet. If I hadn't have got my BFP at the beginning of November, OH was going to send me on an advanced driving course as I'm a bit of a nervous driver in icy weather... He's said I'm DEFINITELY doing it once baby is born, before I take it out in the car next winter!
OH went home on a country route - stupid, I thought, but he's a very confident driver, having done lots of advanced courses and having his HGV licence and all that - and it was probably a good job he did, as he witnessed an older lady and her grandchild go off the road and land in a deep ditch!! He got them out, not hurt just shaken up, and took them home. The car wasn't too badly damaged and the lady is going to get the AA out to sort it later on.
Other than that, it's been a rather normal dayOH's best mate has passed on playing squash tonight so it's just us for tea. Hoping for an early night in anticipation of getting up early with OH tomorrow.
Welcome to the newbies and congrats to pinkpig on your very apt pink bumpxx
Btw, for those doing budgets and sums - SMP (and SPP) is going up to £123.06 a week from April 2009.0
