If household stuff needs doing, I am usually the one that does it, but if I don't dh wouldn't dare say anything, he knows the reply would be 'well why haven't you done it then'!!
:T :T Here here!! :T :T
I do most of the houseworky stuff at home (quite often because Hubby / anyone else just doesn't do it MY way) but Hubby would never presume that I should do something...and if he did expect me to do it there is no way in this world that he would tell me so!!!

Nicki - I have an Espace which I love to bits (well apart from the fact we didn't have the foresight to get a grand ) For day to day use we took out one of the seats so that there are only 4 in the back which when dd2 was in a pram left enough room for the loola to fit in.
We normally do a 4 1/2 hr journey to Papa's every couple of months and it is comfortable when you arrive.
There are loads of things I love about it, tinted windows so no kids complaining about sun in their eyes, for a bus it really is quite fun to drive, loads of storage i.e. the front has 2 large glove boxes, 1 docket where the stereo is with space for other bits and bobs, 2 more lft lid storage boxes which are great for sunglasses/keys and really big door pockets. I love the keyless entry (apart from when I can't remember where I put the key)
The downside it that it is very expensive to run (2.0 litre diesil, 175bhp FAP engine , 56 dynamique) Tank to fuel just now from empty is £80 (was £100 at peak prices) full tank is around 600 miles. Tyres (own fault looks cool because it has the sports pack) £155 each and that is with pricing round everywhere... Road tax £210 (although the FAP part reduces emissions but has to be run for 30mins at 50mph to burn the particles away - fine for us we live on a B road) Servicing on my model is every 9k miles (because of the low emissions thing) dealership service £250 (bearing in mind that the car is still under warrenty) When we bought the car we also bought the service pack which was for 2 services for £250 if I had realised how much it cost I would have gone for the 3 service option  2 front tyres needed to be replaced @ 28k brakes are due soon I am at about 34k (school run is circa 80miles a day - so I guess I am quite high mileage?)
We purchased in April 07 as an ex demo with 27miles on the clock. We had looked at the Voyager (which was the only other that we liked at the time - but dh had read a lot of things that weren't very good with it so we stuck with Renault)
Yes it is big but tbh I find it is about the same size as DH's 95 saloon (except for the height) you get used to it
I hope that all makes sense the kids have been backwards and forwards for a zillion snacks and I have lost my train of thought0 -
I'm with Mel, if hubby pointed out dishes need doing they'd be wrapped round his head lol... But then since I can't keep bending up and down, emptying the dishwasher is his job and re-loading it is mine... So the only reason there's stuff hanging around is because the dishwasher is full of clean stuff... Although the stoopid thing isn't cleaning right at the minute... After the exploding washing machine I decided to do something about it seeing as it's still under warranty... Man's coming Wednesday... Might ask his proffesional opinion on the washer while he's here too
I kept Aimee off school today... Very naughty of me (not really seeing as she's only 4 and legally doesn't have to be in school until she's 5...) But my Aunt came over, it'll be the last time we see her before she goes for her op on Wednesday and Aimee always misses seeing her when she comes in the week because she's at school... So I figured just this once wouldn't hurt.. We went to Sainsburys for lunch and I picked up some adorable babygros in white and beige... They're age 0-3 but look pretty big... Will have to compare them with the others I've got.... I wish I knew how big this baby was going to be!A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...My Fathers Daughter wrote: »Krystal is so smart and funny and wonderful I am struck dumb in awe in her presence.

LOL
I wouldnt wrap nothing round DH's head, I couldnt reach!
He's not that bad, I mean if there were literally no plates/cutlery cos it all needed washing he'd throw a fit, not just if there were a few, he thinks it's scummy, but then his Mum and Nanna are like kim and aggy  , I never wash up after dinner, will always leave it till the morning.
He does his fair share, he hoovers the stairs lol
I dont mind doing most things especially now I'm not working.:j Baby boy Number 2, arrived 12th April 2009!:j0 -

Hey ladies...
Well I'm 6 weeks tomorrow. The feeling sick has kicked in today. I've had a couple of queasy moments today but I'm not complaining as I had some brownish bleeding on thursday. Only when I wiped & not loads but enough to make me slow down & have a very chilled out few days.
I went to see my Doctor on friday. She is lovely & pregnant herself so she knows exactly how you feel! I've got an appointment at EPAU on wednesday afternoon so scan will hopefully confirm that all is well!
Sami Bee - Do I need to talk to you about joining the FB group? xOur 1st baby is due 29th December 2007! :rudolf:
I'm hopeful that this get's me out of cooking Christmas dinner!
Baby Ruby arrived after 55 hours of labour & an emergency c section on Christmas Day at 14.41 weighing 6lb 6oz...And yes I did get out of cooking Christmas dinner!!:rotfl:0 -
I used to be like that before the dishwasher FG lol... I can't bear washing up... even the stuff that's coming out of the dishwasher dirty I know I should really wash it by hand to get it clean... But I just stick it back in the washer for a new cycle... There's a plate in there been round 3 times now!A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...My Fathers Daughter wrote: »Krystal is so smart and funny and wonderful I am struck dumb in awe in her presence.

Hi all :hello:
Headache went off by the time I got to work. Felt a bit ropey all day - especially when one of the guys came into my office stinking of fag smoke _pale_ - but got through it without any more paracetamol
Sami mentioned the FSA budgetting book.. Did anyone else get one of these? I remember something about them on the news about a year ago when my friend was pregnant and they were just starting to introduce them but my midwife has never mentioned it
Have been starving (and eating!) all day.. Off to raid the cupboards!
Btw, anyone got any scans coming up soon? Feels like we haven't had any for a while!0 -
