Well sod u Tia :p enjoy stomping around for a bit :D

Tara - that sounds lovely! just like the old days when u were expected to deliver at home and then all the older siblings come in to see their new lil bro/sis

I think If I was told to stay in hospital for any length of time while peg I'd be devastated! If possible I'd probably try and see if I could stay with my mum and her have time of work to watch Chris. He's going to go on a long weekend with my mum n dad in their caravan this summer I'll miss him looooaaads!!

I had to stay in hospital last summer for almost 2 wks - I missed DS so badly that I cried every time the person in the next room had their toddler visiting. DH doesn't drive, so but MIL brought DH to visit a few times with DS. But it was tough. And I spent a week in hospital when DS was 4 months old - that was miserable!!! And I was breastfeeding at the time, it complely interrupted it and ended up finishing up his BF. Although DH got tons more "daddy and son" time than he ever bargained for - he handled it well. Definitely not something I want to have happen again.

  • Hello everyone.

Surely McSmiler must have popped baby out by now? She has been MIA for 24 hours!

AM - hope you are okay hun

    ((HUGS)) to everyone else.

AF - you bought that crib yet?

Another long morning for me...thank goodness it is Friday. We are off out tonight so I am hoping to finish early (it is POETS day after all).

Seem to have managed to plan a busy weekend again this weekend though  not sure how that happened...all I really want to do is sleep!

  • Sami - have you received your maxi-cosi yet??

Did you know that it has a built-in wind/sun canopy? Just feel inside the plastic at the head of the seat - it hooks onto the handle!! It's amazing!!!

    :D

Mines not come yet :( I think it says the expect to dispatch around the 15th I knew there was a hood thing but not where it was hidden.
My old SX one has a "proper" hood on it that you can't use in the car so I used to have to put a muslin or blanket over Chris coz as you'll probably discover getting a sun shade that actually covers more than about 70% of your window is impossible!

I am having another snow day today. To be fair I made a valiant attempt to go to work this morning, but got stuck on the main road in traffic for 45 mins and gave up. Hubby just popped back for lunch and a discussion on baby's names (not by choice!). He's not impressed because he said I had already chosen our little girls name before we knew she was a girl - Abigail Sade (said sharday) and now I want to make a list of others incase she doesnt look like an Abigail Sade.

My husband is nigerian so Sade is for him as its nigerian, but funnily enough its the name I gave to the first doll my mum bought me as a child! I am jewish and Abigail comes from the hebrew 'source of joy'.

Still I want to have a few more names on my list just in case and so he's agreed to a short list of 5. Got out my 'best baby name book' (an xmas present) so I shall study that, but based on some of the weird names in here, dont think I will be too inspired. No offence to anyone I hope, but I am at letter C and I wonder who would call their child Conception!!

  • AM, hope everything is ok with you and bump xxx

I'm hoping r.mac has had her baby now and she had the HB she wanted! :j

Bit worrying about Caz, though?

Sami, none of the MW's checked how much formula Jamie took on his first feed - actually I don't know either as DH had the honour while I was being stitched (I try to whisper that word! ;)).

    xx

  • Mooki - is it the 100,001 Best Baby Names book??

We had a good old giggle going through that - for Boys names all the days of the week are in there, as is every American state and countless other ridiculous 'names'

We called it the dictionary of words that you might consider as names (especially when tipsy) :rotfl:

Thankfully is is just the best baby name book and is limited to 3000 names, I dont know if I could cope with 100001!
