I'm a great believer in positive vibes shellsuit. A very good friend told me that years ago. Had a scan at 18 weeks with DS now almost 15. There were 6 cysts on his brain and I was sent away and told to come back in 10 weeks at which time if they hadn't gone I would need a termination. My friend who was much older than me calmed me down and said he needed positive vibes so I used to sit and talk to him and it helped me through it. Your date is only a rough guide anyway. You've got far enough to relax a bit now, I'm 18+6 and still haven't dared go shopping. Your friends are going through things we can only empathise with as we don't really understand and you're a great friend for worrying so much. If your friend stays in hospital she'll need you to visit, it's so boring after the first few days, as for your other friend I really don't know, what a turmoil for her and her OH. As for you, your bubs comes first. I know it's easy to say but you have to relax. Take care.X
Some wise words there tara, thank youxx
Now for them positive vibes....;)Tank fly boss walk jam nitty gritty...0 -
Oh fcksticks!
Just had a message from a friends husband - she is due the same date as me. (so she's 26+4) She went to hospital Monday night with bleeding - her cervix is 2cm open and they don't know whether she will be able to carry full term. She's still in hospital now and if things don't improve, she will have to stay there until she has the baby:j Baby boy Number 2, arrived 12th April 2009!:j0 -
Thanks for posting that, it gives a little relief to see that early babies can make it
I'm sure my due date is a jinx, I'm getting a bit upset about it now...
Friend who I just posted about is due same date as me and another girl who is due same date as me, is pregnant with twins, one has died inside her and the other is hanging on for dear life
I hope to God both of them are OK
There is nothing wrong with the 9th of May... It's my first wedding anniversary! I'll pass on all the luck that might bring to you and your friends though as they must be very upset
Did your friend have any indication that there was problems before today? (You now have me worried...)DFW Nerd #025DFW no more! Officially debt free 2017 - now joining the MFW's!

Hi all,
I am new to this and wanted to ask advice - I have a 10 week old baby girl and was due to go back to work mid-April but really want to stop working. I could claim maternity pay until mid-July but I don't want to mess my boss around by saying can I extend my maternity leave til mid-July when I know come mid-July I will hand in my notice. I'd rather say now that I am handing in my notice - the question is - will I still be entitled to the remaining 3 months maternity pay and if so does my current boss still pay this and if so can they claim all the money back from the govt. or if they stop paying maternity pay from mid-April is there any other way to claim the remaining 3 months of possible maternity pay? we really need every penny we are entitled to. Hope that all makes sense? Cheers - CrazyLadyC0 -

Sorry DJ, I don't think anyone has ignored you on purpose, it's a really fast thread with lots of posts about allsorts so some posts get missed.
I'll go back and check your post/s >>>>>>
EDIT : Just saw your post from this morning - sorry it was overlooked, but honestly, nobody would have overlooked it intentionally...
Did they say what caused the bleeding? That must have been so scary! How far along are you?
About the MATB1, it depends on how far along you are - I asked for mine a fortnight ago and got it from the midwife
Hope that helpsxx
