ha ha .your probably rite.its been long enough now that if a practical reason was preventing your application you would have herd.not a made up reason.
stick with it out of pricipal.you can always tell them to stick it when they approve you.
they cant discriminate, they havent given you a genuine reason, you may be in luck.perhaps most people would have given in by now, wich is handy if you dont discriminate, but prefer a different profile of customer.

If it's a default you want removed off your credit file, it shouldn't still be on there anyway if it's 12 months old. They only should remain on your file for 6 years from the default date.
Have you made any payments towards the debt in the last 6 years?
Hi, the account is not statute barred as i do still pay them, they first pulled my card without defaulting the account, i think because i hadn't actually spent on it for over 5 years and only really paid it when i remembered (which i did't do often hence it running into problems) or failing that when they rang me about it i would clear the arreas and a bit of the balance but because i would forget to pay again i'd end up owing more and more on it without spending. Eventually about 2 years ago they defaulted me the second i missed a payment, which i paid at the bank 3 days before it was due instead of 5, so it was two days late, although they say more, and now i pay them on d/d (should of done that in the first place eh and i wouldn't have the default).
but basically i was very very lax with this account which is why i am prepared to accept my financial commitment and not try to write off the remaining debt which is almost 100% made up of charges at about £400, but beleive it or not i am no where near as un-organised with any of my other financial commitments and this credit card is the one "blip" on my credit file and i'd very much like to remove it now rather than in four years.
So if i request a cca and they dont have it am i right in thinking i can ask them to remove all record of this card?
i know i'm butting in here but you sounded like you had some experience in the matter so that's why i'm picking your brains, any help gratefully received. :beer:0 -

So what are you going to do now?
I would send them in again and send a letter as well.0 -
Rang Tesco and they said they haven't received the documents I sent last week. It may take 10 days apparently. Also, I didn't put that I was receiving benefits on my application. I did! I said I was unemployed!
You know what? They can stick the card up their chuff. I don't want it any more. More hassle than its worth.0 -

I think Innocent is having the very same problem. I don't blame you.
It seems they don't know "they Ar*e from their Elbow".
What did they think you put down on your application? Psychiatrist?
Tesco do seem to be very difficult to deal with.0 -
Well I have had enough of them. I have sent:
3 months bank statements
2 utility bills
benefit award notices
letter detailing how much my benefits are, when they are paid and how they are listed on my bank statement
if they can't make a decision based on all that I give up0 -

They are just a bunch of buffoons. I'm staying well clear.
BTW my Mum and Dads OD is fine again. It says the same as before now.0 -
