i wanna try and get a default removed from barclaycard, i am still paying them but the card dates back nearly ten years, i took it out when i was 18 and ran amock. anyway i reckon theres a good chance they wouldn't be able to produce my cca and i know if they can't produce a cca they can't enforce the debt but thats not what i'm after, i'm happy to pay the debt.

however i heard (well read actually) in another forum that without the cca they cant record info on your credit file as they need your permission to do that, which you give in the cca, so no cca = no permission and must remove if requested.

10 years I would have thought the debt was statue barred??? The lenders needs to have a signed document from you authorizing them to share your data. I believe that you can submit a section 10 advising them to stop processing all your data. TBH NID will be able to confirm this or you may find more details over on CAG. Best of luck

I'm so angry. After ringing Barclaycard this morning, I was told 'Your application has been sent to the composition team (Underwriters?), and that no decision had been made. Ugh.............. what's with this company.

What a pain!!!! At least it isn't a straight decline. Remember they do use National Hunter as Sutton said.............
