Hi folks i have just applied for a argos store card that stated instant decesion. and this is the message i got back.

Thank you for applying for the Argos Card

Your application has been received and processed. You will hear from us within the next few days.

Does that mean i have been refused a card?

If you ever want an instant decision best to apply during normal banking working hours (so 4-5pm then ROTFL) i.e. until 8pm Mon-Fri...... i've had almost every one go to underwriting cos of the silly times I apply, coupled with the errors on my credit file..... :D

    Afternoon team!
  • Hi all, i'm new here and just looking for a bit of advice before I jump into anything.

I've had a capital one credit card since January 2008, always paid on time and paying it off slowly but surely. For the last 4 months I have been out of work due to sickness but I'm on the road to recovery now, and I'm hoping to get a CDL (Career Development Loan) so I can go back to college in September. If I applied for another credit card and got declined would it affect me being able to get a CDL?

I'm currently on the 34.9% card but want one with a lower apr but don't want to mess up my credit rating/score because I really want to be able to get a CDL and go back to college.

I'd be grateful of any help, thanks:beer:

I apply for the Argos card and got the same message. I checked my email the next day and was told that I had been accepted which was confirmed in writing with credit agreement. My card is now on its way to me.

    Hopes this helps

    Hi there,

CDL are usually score based. My OH applied for a CDL and was accepted and it was done on internal score & uni letters. No external credit check was performed.
